Hey, Adobe - are you paying attention? I have been an avid Photoshop user for twenty years - Unmesh is by far the BEST at what he does as anyone I've ever seen - and I've been all over TH-cam and the internet. The BEST!
20+ year user and I have to agree. Great personality and gets right down to business they way it should be. Whenever I forget how to do something (by attrition) not in my day to day work flow I usually end up looking at his tutes.
Another 20+ year veteran here, I have to agree. Playing catch-up since I was using CS6 until recently. Between Unmesh and Jesus, I'm getting up to date without frustration.
I’m an intermediate PS user and in the short time I’ve been following you, I’ve found you to be one of the very best teachers. Clear, simple, to the point and best of all, no fluff instruction/demonstration. I happily sit through all the commercials to get your info. Thank your for sharing your knowledge! 🙂
I've been using Photoshop for almost 20 years and I'm 100% self taught. This type of content is how I've learnt everything I know and the quality of your content is on par with Adobe themselves. Thank you for your dedication to sharing the craft. 😀
That's a wee kick in the nuts to hear (for me at least), when I spend 20 plus hours putting together an online lesson. If you were self-taught 100%, you aren't anymore. You're here being taught by a teacher busting their ass. Online instruction has the awesome benefit of being much more current, and it's great you've taken advantage.
The context on my comment was praise and thanks. As an instructor myself, I understand a lot of work goes into each and every tutorial that is created. Your offence at the dictionary definition of a term is a little surprising. I don't doubt you bust your ass but, context is everything.
James Robbins is called giving credit where it’s due. Edward is not self taught, and I’m correcting him. If you find that is negative, consider yourself someone who sees things negatively lol.
Thank you, as a 50yr old who been interested in photography all my life, Who is looking to learn photoshop from scratch your videos are the best I've found online. The way you show the steps is clear and easy to follow. 👍👍

I never comment on TH-cam videos but I just wanted to say your videos are really the best. Comprehensive and easy to follow and not unnecessarily long like many other TH-camrs. Thanks for all the great work you do!
I've used Photoshop for 20 years and still I am learning new stuff. Your channel is interesting and you have great content, thank you very much and keep up the good work!
Just a first rate and comprehensive explanation. Especially for 4K screen issue that I have wanted changed for as long as I have had a 4k screen. As always well done. Thank You!
How on earth do you know all these things. You are freakin' amazing. I actually used to hate Photoshop and only used Lightroom for color corrections and Corel PhotoPaint for light (and sometimes, not so efficient) editing. Since I started Following you and learning I have fallen in love with Photoshop and actually having fun with it, thanks to you.
This is the best tutorial/review video I've ever seen. Normally I hate tutorial/review videos because I'm usually looking for a specific answer and have to sift through stuff that I either already know or is completely off topic. Not only do you explain things well and in detail, but you stay on topic and don't waste a lot of time with redundant or irrelevant information. Plus, the index of timestamps in the beginning is exactly what I've been hoping to see for years. Keep up the good work.
do you know how to open photos from lightroom in photoshop itself. this new update opens the photo in a second tab and not on the photoshop page itself where all the editing tools and such are when you click "edit in photoshop" when in lightroom
1. That frame feature is something I've been achieving from clipping mask. Principle is all same. Welcome feat is that it will achieve it with dedicated single layer. 2. Default sample text - Don't know what took Adobe so long to copy the feature from Illustrator. 3. Blend Mode - YEs. Yes. Yes. My history will be cleaner and I don't have to bother with multiple undos now 4. Undo & Resize key shuffle - A decade of practice & finger memory gone for a toss! But indeed a logical step.

I'm creating some very interesting graphics with that. I wish it had a few more controllable aspects to it but its been a great source of inspiration so far.
You my friend are beyond awesome. The biggest thank you ever. How can anyone be bored watching your content? Not even possible. Peace and be safe brother.

It's useful to have it listed and explained one after the other without interruptions and mentions about other Adobe software. Thanks a lot.
I woudn't call them "new features", they just started hearing what us users were complaining in the last decade or so. Just look at Adobe Forums, every single item was requested there years ago. Still, great video, I love how you also explain how to use them! :-D
I stumbled on your video. Glad I did. You are so pleasant to listen to and concise. Thanks for not wasting my time as so many others do with unimportant parts of the tutorials.

Thank you Unmesh for your nice videos. Regarding the new updates, I would have wished for an update on "Radial blur / Zoom" to click on exact point on image rather than just try to estimate and get it wrong and try again and again.... or even show a large thumbnail to nail the exact spot we want instead of showing the zoom dashed and direction of the effect

Nice job, Adobe! What about vector tools? I wish Photoshop did everything that Illustrator does but in a convenient way.
@@drewcama5481 they use subscription-based model anyway, so the number of apps doesn't really matter. I just don't like how switching between two apps totally change the workflow including most hotkeys.

I'll never understand why they didn't also make Ctrl-Y redo like most other apps. I know that that key combination is already taken, but using it for redo seems much more intuitive and valuable than proof colors.
Uhm what keyboard do you use? for example: I have a german version keyboard on my laptop. So the "Z" is right next to the "T" and the "Y" right next to the "X". On American keyboards its vice versa. So I't depends on the origin of your pc :D Anyways: You can just change it preferably in the shortcut settings, right?
I use a standard QWERTY keyboard, but I think you missed my point. Adobe has finally made Ctrl-Z work as it does in virtually every other app, but they didn't do the same with Ctrl-Y. One is the inverse of the other, so why fix half of the problem?
Cntl/Cmd+Z and Cntrl/Cmd+Shft+ Z are much better a pairing than Cntrl/Cmd+Z and Cntrl/Cmd+Y. And is exactly how I've had PS setup ever since you could modify shortcuts to be what you like and you know why? That's the most common way to do it. Plus it's physically easier to toggle between the two states. The only software I can think of that uses Cntl/Cmd+ Y for redo is MS Office. Because you've long had this option to customise all shortcuts, you can set PS to work anyway you like.
This video is such a life saver. I constantly come back to watch it whenever I forget some of the new changes in photoshop. Thank you for this video. I'm Subscribed now!
An excellent tutorial. Well explained and slow enough to easily follow. I’m pleased that I watched this video, as it explains why the use of some tools has changed. I thought that something was wrong with Photoshop. Thanks again. Excellent!
Modern Undo ??? dafkk U mean old Undo like every other software on earth does! also many of the features like preview are stolen from Affinity Photo/Designer which were years old!
I second that! They saw many designers moving to AD and because of many stupid annoying things so eventually they had no choice but to adapt. And it only took them almost 30 years to fix them. Hopefully one day I'll be able to move from the goddamn Adobe ecosystem forever!
I'm an Affinity user now, but a lot is still missing that PS has. I was a PS user from 1990 until a year ago when I kicked their subscription plan out. I also replaced Premier with Resolve, Audition with Fairlight and After Effects with Fusion. I would have stuck with Adobe for Muse, but they made the brilliant move to cancel it's development.
For your personal request. When you have selected the LUT from the dropdown, that dropdown is still selected. This means you can use your up and down keys to change and quickly go through the options without opening the dropdown list. And every change will display as it would after a dropdown open close. This also applies to the layer blending modes. After you opened and closed it once, you can use your up and down arrow keys similarly.
You are right, Tamas. I have personally done this and also easily scrolled on Windows, but have not yet been able to do the same thing on a Mac. That's what my concern is.
that's why you need to back up the actions before update PS, or at least you have the action installation. Right now if you don't do that both, you need to download all your action again and install it again. sorry for my English, its pretty bad.

One is the inverse of the other, so why fix half of the problem?
i always ctrl alt z, and ctrl alt y IS redo
THE #1 Fake news website! LMAO 2:00
Didn't I say it's not relevant? LOL. Hey buddy, how have you been?
Hahaha! I didn't notice that.
An excellent tutorial. Well explained and slow enough to easily follow. I’m pleased that I watched this video, as it explains why the use of some tools has changed. I thought that something was wrong with Photoshop. Thanks again. Excellent!
its 1:20 Am here (india)
Excellent tutorial :)
"Lame joke alert" - one of the best jokes I've heard in tutorials
This Guy explains things so clearly . Bravo You are a guru !!
Modern Undo ??? dafkk
U mean old Undo like every other software on earth does!
also many of the features like preview are stolen from Affinity Photo/Designer
which were years old!
@@chosenideahandle So what do you use instead of muse?
@@FerizoliYT Nothing right now. I'm open to suggestions for the future.
Well, I upgraded to PS CC 2019 & all the actions I created are gone. How do I get them back?
that's why you need to back up the actions before update PS, or at least you have the action installation. Right now if you don't do that both, you need to download all your action again and install it again. sorry for my English, its pretty bad.
Thanks for this, by far the best guide of the new features i´ve viewed. You Sir, are a legend!
Why in photoshop cc 2019 the message "sorry failed adobe installation" appears
Dude! YOU ARE AWESOME!!! I've started using Photoshop because of your tutorials!
