      Anthony PC might be a little late but you can probably make it yourself. Just google a skin color chart, throw it in to photoshop and with the eye dropper select the skin tones and in the info chart you should see the color code.

    • @sebastianholzl5187

    Unfortunately this method is not working for me. Your examples have a lighter skin tone. Im working with a more brown skin tone and going through your example step by step warded me not that great skin tone results. The skin came out bluish pink and then it changes the overall color of the image. I think you give great tutorials but this one just didnt work for me. And the steps are so long. When you're editing 20+ images this can get really time consuming. Are you a photographer or a graphic designer? Because this just takes too long....

    • @RenoSydney
      @RenoSydney 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      A similar thing happened with me. If you're just basing it off the numbers in his download, there's a possibility you might be working in a different color space. sRGB vs Adobe RGB for instance. If you actually sample his palate, you'll see that your sample readings don't match his numbers. This threw me off for a while before I figured it out.
      The solution to that is to base it off the sample reading in the new color space, or convert your image's color space to his color space. Check the "Edit>Convert to Profile..." and related menu settings in PS.
      This obviously doesn't help with the fact that this method still takes an extremely long time, and is arbitrary than not (everyone has different skintones, theres no true "standard").

    • @MarkAKathurima
      @MarkAKathurima 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Whereas I love this guy's tutorials, the bottom line is that skin tones can't genuinely, truly be fixed with just presets. It requires understanding of lighting, dynamics of white balance, even monitor types and calibrations. I am now employing the use of colour checkers etc. to account for these subtle differences as and when they happen.
      You will continue to be frustrated, espoecially when dealing with darke tones. You also touch on an important point; this is just not an efficient workflow for working photographers if perhaps you are shooting say a fashion lookbook. Again, I recommend getting to grips with color checkers and manual white balance.

    Great video. Thanks. I shortened it to color averaging, and getting info on the averaged color. All other curves functions are blindingly fast by just clicking anywhere in each RGB color and manually inputting before and after values. SUPER quick! I also added three interim skin colors for a total of seven. Works really well for everything I've tried so far, with a wide range of skin colors.

    skin tones are always a result of direct light, the reflected light of the surroundings and the white balance, depending of the time of the day... they cant stand alone - and there is no perfect standard, only different skin types... there is no perfection - not even in a studio enviroment... - if you want to work fast and accurate, learn more about lighting, use a greycard or a color checker which is the common solution for incorrect skintones!

    Great Video! I wished you posted it like 10 years ago. I have always stressed about skin tones. I did go one step further with this. I'm lazy and don't want to edit each picture in photoshop. What I did was import your pallete in lightroom and got the values of each swatch. Top one is 83.9, 78.8, 72.8. I do one of the pictures in photoshop to get the average and stop there. I go back into lightroom and use the tone curve to match those numbers. Then I can Sync all of the pictures! Awesome. This is such a time saver. Thanks so much for your help. I love your videos.
