  • AAAAAAAAAAAAAAnd welcome back!
    I bet you're curious as to why the dirty crack. Well, I was trying to say the crack needed to be cleaned since it was dirty. I lost it, got a laugh and why not name it the dirty crack grinder lol.
    This is for a returning customer who also comissioned the red and black bowl and the elm burl pepper mill. The wood is from an old apple tree my grandfather planted years ago that I ate from as a kid. It ended up getting sick and dying so we cut it down, and here we are...
    I went with the alumilite clear slow epoxy for it being so thin allowing it to get further in cracks and and voids in a not dirty crack but a clean crack lol. I dremeled out as much as possible of the holes but wasn't successful with all.
    I used Eye candy mica powder in the epoxy and gave it a durable CA finish with Starbond medium CA glue.
    The mill kit was from woodriver.

    Nice piece. Good tips also, especially the mold release in pressure pot. Not gunna lie, did some fast forwarding thru some of the music. Music is like food. We all have different tastes.

      Thanks! Yea It’s hard to please everyone with musical taste. So totally understandable!

    Very nice! I've turned salt and pepper mills in the past with a different brand kit. Not gonna lie ... drilling those tiny holes in the bottom and getting the miniscule screws to properly seat was stressful. Your project looks spectacular! Apple wood never fails to impress.

      Thank you! I’ve found that the right size Phillips really helps! Almost need a fly lure light and magnifier 😂

    Another good tip is to line the pressure pot with plastic or trash bag.

    • @EppsCreations
      @EppsCreations  ปีที่แล้ว

      Couldn’t do that in mine. That hdpe board leaves no room for wiggle. Would cause issues trying to slide down the sides. I call it my “Maximus pourimus” lol. But if you were using other casting ways absolutely a great idea!

    Good wood and color selection. Great job. The videos are good but you really could loose the music.

    Awesome as always, brother! Have you ever had issues with the bark and resin long-term with any movement?

      Not after you lay on several layers of CA.

    What kit did you use? It turned out great. I have some apple and Cherry burl I’ve been drying out. I haven’t tried a pepper mill yet.

      It was the woodriver deluxe kit. All the goodies I use are in my Amazon shop if you ever see something that sparks your interest. Was the best way to assort everything with ease
