As for the cube customization systems: (anyone who finds a mistake, pls correct me. Thanks a lot!)
- almost all the flagships now have magnet customization by turning the magnets themselves, either with a screw or the Gan cubes for example had these nobs that you could switch with your finger nail.
- also most cubes have two different core settings, the spring compression as well as the distance (screw setting)
- both kinda influence the elasticity but when you really try different combinations, you can actually feel a difference between the two settings
Obviously not all of them use the same kinds of settings so each cube works a bit differently which sucks actually, but once you have decided a Main cube and you found your setup, you won’t have to touch it again lmao
I hope you have fun trying out all the possible setups and in general trying the new cubes!

@@Kian_Mansour The adgustment tool for the gan 13 is inside the front of the box if you haven't been able to find it. You can use it to adjust the tension and push the magnet knobs (instead of using a fingernail)

I was kind of in the same situation as you, my last main was the Weilong GTS2M which I bought when it was first released and magnetic cubes were just getting more popular. Recently, I got interested in cubing again and bought a Tornado V3 Standard. It's cool how speedcubes have incorporated these new technologies and gimmicks. When I first got the GTS2M, I didn't think cubes would get this better.
I love your videos on roux and especially your example solves and helpful videos on roux! I hope you get the time and motivation to cube and upload more again. Nice cubes btw

I was thinking about buying a cube and had the Moyu WRM 2021 Maglev, the Moyu super rs3m 2022 maglev, the x-man tornado v3 pioneer and the Dayan TengYun V2 m as possible candidates (the gan is a little outside my price range). So cool! I love my Tornado V3, but when I saw how nice the Gan was, and knowing you were going from least to most excited, I cringed a little, feeling the letdown coming.
I will say, my tv3 got a lot better after breaking it in with a few hundred solves, but I don't even come close to your turning speeds XD

Looking forward to the example solves although I probably won't understand most of them. I don't have the 13 but have 11M Pro, I do have the purple WRM 2021 cube, the super RS3M cubes, and the Tornado V3M Pioneer. The Tornado is my favourite of them all. It would also be interesting to see how you set them up and get on with the cubes after breaking them in... 👍
you should try the 13, it's a beast for 1 and 2 handed when set up right.
@@12times12_ I might have a look at one in a few weeks but the Gan 11 doesn't suit me and all of their smarts cubes have poor performance catch a lot.., compared to other smart cubes I've used. So I'm not holding my breath that the 13 will be much better or a huge difference from their previous cubes. I will report back if I do try one out. 👍

@@12times12_ I recently got the Gan 12 Ui which is very good and a lot better than their earlier smart cubes so maybe the 13 is better. The Tornado is still better in overall performance than the 12 Ui smart cube but it's catching up 👍.

You must message Cameron to send to you the most popular cubes these past years. From Gan X to Gan 13,it is a really looong jumped.
TLDR for magnet adjustment: only the GAN 356 X and Valk Super 3M (I think?) had swappable magnets. Now adjustable cubes have a twist or switch type mechanism to adjust magnets

The GAN 13 you have isn't the FX - that's an upcoming version without adjustable magnets to make it lighter. Also, if you like old-school cubes, get the Tianma X3 Triple. It feels more like a YueXiao than anything else, but it has modern flagship performance

11:34 That is neither UV or FX btw, UV is a super glossy outer coating and FX is an upcoming(?) cheaper variant with less customization, whereas you have a standard matte (slick outer coating) 13 maglev

i actually still do not know why some people like the valk 3 as it is quite bad at cornercutting and it is really blocky
blocky is stable and reliable! I don't like cubes that are too flexible or flimsy, they tend to catch and lock up a lot more for me
