Just got a new RX7 Ultra in bourbon and I have been thinking about experimenting with different stabilizer set ups. Thank you for the video and suggestions.
Thank you! I never thought that was a great idea!! My idea on that is that if you were to stretch your arm out to the side and point a baseball bat it would dip slightly from the weight due to its shape. That’s why I use at least 8 degrees down for my front stab. For me it settles the pin almost immediately with no waggle and promotes a quicker aim and shot execution. The downward angle also distributes the pressure of the weight on the end of the stab more evenly into my bow hands lifeline. To lower the position of the stab hole for me would induce torque and be like pointing a one of my old crooked aluminum golf clubs I’ve wrapped around a tree! 🤦🏽🥴😝 Great vid-love the beautiful Colorado sky and snow on the ground. 👍🏼
Thanks for the feedback Wayne. I agree, the lower hole doesn't appear to be the ticket for me but I still give some credit to Hoyt for trying to think outside the box a bit. For the minimalist bowhunter, the mini stabilizer that comes with the bow is a pretty decent option. Thanks for watching 👊🏽
@@AlphaBowhunting agreed! Phil Mendoza rings a bell with me… I’m sure I shot a Sims Team shoot with you as the groups Pro. It was a good time and I remember you being very patient and helpful with the group. Kudos!
Thanks Wayne, I really miss the ASA events, great people there. I hope I can get back to shoot some from time to time now that my boys are getting more into shooting.
I have a ventum 33 and have played with similar stabilizer set ups. So far I'm enjoying having a 6" bar, 10 degrees down, in front in the lower port and an 8" bar out back. So far it pounds. Haven't really paid attention to time to target because it happens so quickly for me. I think either way it'll pound in the end.

This is exactly the content I was looking for , iv tried sticking to the short lower stabilizer but I think it's time to tinker for me . THANKS !
Just shot my rx7 ultra today and in the process of ordering bars. Thanks for the insight. Definitely making it hard to decide!
I run a 6" stabilizer on the top and stubby on the bottom Balances real nice

Interesting. I got one on order and think I'll run it like you. Probably take the small one out that comes with it. Sweet bow!

Love the mindset, thanks for sharing your results and for watching.
I have an Ultra as well. Have you settled on 10" or 12" for your front bar? TY!!
10"
I am just using the stubby up front on my RX5 ultra, would a 6in back bar be enough to balance the bow?
How long is your back bar? I listened but didn't hear you mention it.
Currently running an 8 inch back bar.
@@AlphaBowhunting Thank you.
Great information,
Thanks Tim
I have the RX5 and the 12in cutter bar and the bar acquired the target faster for me shooting 60yds I was dead on I messaged my pal the pics and video
Awesome to hear your results. Thanks for watching
I still cant get these bows to aim 100% well compared to others
I run a 10” 10 degree on the lower position and 12” in the back. Stupid stable.
