Didn't know ANY of that... but now, knowing all this... WHAT THEY DID IN 4 and 5... well, moreso 5, because we see Jack's past there... is ASININE! I heard people say fisrt PoC is magical, one of a kind... and the next two are subpar. Well, I'd say that trilogy is great, but move to On Stranger Tides and Dead Men Tell no Tales... a bit iffy, if you ask me. I checked the ending of At World's End now to see, and indeed, 4 was established there, which I didn't know. But even so, they could've done SO MUCH MORE with that premise. They run out of ideas and creativity. Which is best evident in 5, where there's another group of undead, who chase Jack for his past crimes, that he must outsmart to get to the treasure... Gets old after a while, especially when done poorly.
