To explain why this is stupid:
Left and right only describe positions relative to the orientation of your own body. East and west are not relative to your body. They are relative to either the magnetic poles of the Earth, or the rotation of the Earth around its axis. Either way works, and the magnetic poles hold true even if you reject a spherical model of Earth.
The sun rises in the magnetic east and sets in the magnetic west, regardless of your body's orientation. That's why it can rise on your left one day, and on your right the next. The sun's trajectory across the sky has not changed. Only your orientation has changed. As another poster said, you are not the centre of the universe. The sun does not revolve around you.

The part about 24 hours sun is kinda funny to me because im Swedish. You just have to travel up north here and you can see the sun all day long. It never sets in places like Kiruna. Its just as light during the day as the night. So he can just travel to Sweden to see the sun for 24 hours straight. It happens between may and July. Its a really wierd feeling because if you wake up during the night you get so confused on what time it is, is it morning or did you just go to bed? Its just as bright.
And if he dont like the sun, just come during winter and you only get to see the sun for a short time during the day, its mostly just dark.

Little does he know that Mintaka and η Aquarius each rise at due east and set at due west for everyone and that a point roughly between Achemar and The Southern Cross is due south and that local cardinal directions can be accurately determined by tracking any star that appears to travel a large angular distance across the night sky. (Take three unit-length beatings of a star A, B, C over two decent time intervals. Calculate N′ = (C−B)⨯(B−A). N = N′(1/||N′||) is the vector to the celestial north pole, which may be turned into azimuth and elevation at leisure.)

Westboro Baptist Church is an example. It only had like 50 members but still managed to get wold wide attention. I don't think their numbers have swelled to any great degree.
I do think Dave's approach of berating and belittling his opponents can be counter productive as it makes him look like a bully, and doesn't advance the argument. Sure it makes his follower feel good at poking fun of other people, but IMHO not the way to go.
It just helps give them a bit of a martyr status to their followers.

@@Krugis For a great laugh - followed by a few years of feeling bad because it'll be at least 10 minutes of your life that you won't be getting back - look at some of the "very scientific" FE-theories of a sub-sect of FE'ers that believe the earth is both flat AND hollow, with another *_spherical_* planet hidden inside it... which is reached through a tunnel on the north pole... which only has one access point, in an ice wall, which NASA/the galactic human government is guarding because that's what our lizzard overlord masters who live on the spherical planet inside the hollow flat earth want them to do. There's a few different sub-sects who all follow their own version of that flat-but-hollow-earth-with-a-spherical-planet-inside nonsense, and they're funnier than any comedic act, at least until you realize they're serious, and then even less funny than not-funny when you realize that you just spent time out of your life listening to their nonsense and you're not getting those minutes back.

Does he have zero concept how Gimongous the sun is compared to our tiny little piss ant planet, nor the brightness of a nuclear furnace, nor the unfathomable amount of light reaches the 3rd rock from the sun every second. I wonder if his mommy has to still dress and feed him and take him to the potty. But on the other hand, the exasperated look of incredulity on professor Dave's face is both hysterically funny and priceless.

Hey guys I have a picture of the full moon the morning after the eclipse that just recently happened! The sun was at least 5 degrees on my horizon while the moon was sitting at least 30 degrees. Does anyone have a link to a globe simulator that can explain this in the globe model? I have been looking for a couple of weeks now and I can’t seem to find a good one! I’ve asked others and they just say I am lying.

You know that moment when you looked at some formula or calculation back in school, staring at it for a while till it made "click" and you go "AAH FINALLY I understand!"
Now imagine flat earthers having a disability that prevents them ever receiving the moment where it clicks, even on elementary school physics concepts.
