Audi Q4 E Tron Infotainment System walk through (MMI3)

- Audi is upgrading their infotainment system and we got to take a look at the Q4 E Tron. The granular control of the charging and driver assist systems is solid in comparison to some other manufacturers who do not offer this level of access. Nicole Scott from Mobile Geeks does a deep dive on the infotainment system and controls of this new Audi.

I was thinking of doing a lot more of these deep dives on infotainment systems, Audi's has a lot to show, so it's a good place to start up again!

Great review...pre-sense does a lot more than just warn you. It will do various things (depending on settings) from pre-tensing the seatbelts, roll up windows, steer, apply brakes, etc...Like the new volume touchpad, put preferred the previous knob/joystick that was the volume, skip, repeat, and mute...Can’t wait to get my hands on the Q4 e-TRON!!!
You're right! I should have gone through a full list of what pre-sense does! Thanks for leaving this here in the comments! I know what you mean about the knob/jobstick, but I think this touchpad could be the modern version of it, it feels pretty intuitive, but you'll only really know once you get it on the road and try it while you're driving.

Thanks for the insights! Can you take CarPlay full screen rather than having double navigation of CarPlay right next to MMI nav?
Carplay will take over the MMI display completely, you'd have to exit it to access the car settings that I scrolled through like driver assist and the charge settings.
And really CarPlay for navigation? Is it good with real time traffic? It's good for music but I never liked their maps.
@@basicthinkingtv I’m confused by your answer. CarPlay WILL take over the MMI display completely? How do you make it do this? CarPlay offers lots of maps choices including Google Maps, Waze, and Apple Maps.
Hi. Great video. Can you tell me if the Q4 e-tron rolling out in September/October are android auto wireless compatible?
As far as I know it comes with wireless android auto and car play!

Do I have to upgrade to get different versions of MMI?
If you pay for the full MMI, this doesn't come standard with the car, then you'll have access to the latest as the updates roll out to your car.
Just drove this today. Was totally unimpressed with the display, very low resolution and feels so oldschool.
That's information on the screen is more than on the plane dashboard

“So it’s just above HD” - No it’s not. That would be 1920x1080, this is slightly above 720p.
She is right - HD is 720p. 1080p is FHD (Full HD).
it looks like a slow system... :-(
compared to a smartphone, they're all slow!
some feedback: camera has trouble focusing, also changes exposure, and speaker dos not seem to know exactly what she will show next. As for audi the legacy cues and some of the plastic trims are sad looking - would have liked to see a new audi ev car without them.
This is not a deep dive.
