Thanks for showing this - should be helpful for a lot of folks. Ran into this exact issue on a core/shell project recently - believe we ended up doing the "unload" workaround - never considered the link order! Reminds me of "filter" hierarchy - highest filter wins!
Hello, could you teach me how to configure the scroll button of mouse to move on iPad when use Revit? It is the only thing that I have not been able to do. In your video where on your iPad you use your computer you can rotate the model of revit using the scroll of the mouse. I have looked for a way to do it and I have not been able to do it, when I press the scroll what it does is selecting instead of move, please help me, it's something I haven't been able to solve in a long time and I'm frustrated.
There is another way, 1) Link "Fit-out.Rvt" link first. 2) Link "Core-shell.Rvt" Now tag a room, room tag will pick rooms which are available in Fit-out.Rvt. Then again choose room tag and hower your mouse cursor on internal walls, It will pick "Core-shell.Rvt" rooms.
I workaround I have used (which can also be a pain) is to set the link you don't want to tag as an underlay and use the tag all function and include links. If a link is set to underlay Revit won't include it or objects in it when using the tag all command.
Rooms should be used for rooms and Areas for everything else. I would ask the Core-Shell guys to use an Area. Another option is to hide the Core-Shell Room with V/G or filters. Next use 'Tag All' as it will only tag the visible Rooms.
My thought too, but I see now that my comment didn't post. Instinctively I think it should work but if you have to place lots of tags then unloading is certainly a nice workaround to be aware of 👍

Weird, right?!
Thank you very much, great tip, we are always learning in revit
Always learning for sure!!

I don’t disagree … but, now you have a solution if they tie you to buzz off 🤣
How about using the temporary hide?
Tried it. Doesn't work!
well that was batshit crazy ... who knew!!!
Right!?
Can you turn room bounding off the Shell & Core model so it won't tag the rooms?
Nope! remember this is a room IN the core shell.
Why didnt he unable room bounding?
Why not try making the core shell model not room bounding?
Nope! The room IS in the core and shell, and their are rooms in the fitout.
Can't you just TAB the models you want to tag?
Did you try that yourself?
@@TheRevitKid going by memory it may just work but I'm a bit lazy to test it out right now

So did it work? By tabing?
