    Greg,
    Absolutely stunning videos for the people like me who want to jump from the manual Leica to Robotic Leica and your videos are very educational and very down to earth material with simple clear crystal explanation.
    You used the map to set the Reference Line on your Controller and which is fine.
    I wanted you show me if you have the coordinates of the line and you then set the Ref. Line for work using the coordinates from your memory on board.
    On the manual Leica this is how it is done but the coordinates are drawn out of the memory to fix the Ref. Line.
    I am assuming that you can do it the same way on TS15.
    But a demonstration would have been a diamond cut education.
    Fantastic video and a great education material.
    And........ why are you stopping making more videos in this setting-out series?
    You could have shown the following.
    1: How to measure the height of the building or the tree?
    2: How to set the circular arc and the offset line from the circular arc?
    3: How to measure the AREA of the land on the set program?
    4: How to measure the VOLUME of the earth mound?
    5: How to set the Batter Rails.
    Hopefully you will cover them in future videos.

    Hi Greg, thank you for amazing videos. I am a graduate civil engineer and aiming to get a career as a site engineer, not sure with the new situation how much chance I have with out experience but your videos are being very helpful. I saw the video for introduction to drawings but have not seen any videos to follow up as you have mentioned in the video you will go through a lot of stuff to do with drawings. I would appreciate to see them too. Thanks a lot.

      Hi Ebrahim! Despite situation there is still busy in construction, but the sooner you find something the better as many project are held, or stopped. I think we will see a big slow down next year(especially residentials). Soon I will start to upload construction site vids and construction drawings which will come one after another giving the view of elements and than cover in terms of drawing information :)

    I'm managing the restoration of an old building that requires pilling an underpin. I've set up a local grid an stuck retros around the building to monitor any movement whils the foundation works begin. What's your thoughts on using a 5second instrument an not a specialist montoring station?? Great vids by the way 👍

    • @SITENG
      @SITENG  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think it's enough, I am using 5sec. instrument and if there would be monitoring needed I would have no problem with that, unless the client has some requirements. If possible monitor the points from same position :) Thanks!!!

    • @lessismore83009
      @lessismore83009 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Greg. If you are marking accurate gridlines on a poured slab. How do you do this? Do you take the prism off the large pole, and fit a small point to it, like a regular prism? Or do you mark a point by the laser pointing to the line?

    • @SITENG
      @SITENG  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would probably use a laser in this case, but if you have a small 'rod' that would be good with the prism too. I would still prefer the laser anyway to make it as perfect as possible, but it all depends what access you have etc etc

    Hi mate, I’ve been using the TS06/07 model for about 2 years but I have found a new job and they need someone that can use the robotic EDM. Would it makes sense to take the job without having prior use of TS15 and the likes. Many thanks.

    • @SITENG
      @SITENG  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! Hard to say really, it's not difficult like you can see on my videos, but good to have at least a bit of practise. Will you be the only engineer there? What kind of job that would be?

    What is a stake line?

    • @SITENG
      @SITENG  ปีที่แล้ว

      You can stake the line, or measure to line. Staking the line is marking the points where you can also set the increment you want to stake on the line. You can use is just to set the line as well.
