    Greg. Absolutely a brilliant demonstration of the use of the program Reference Line from anywhere on the site. Your open demonstration to check the elevation of the building with Reference Line program was a fantastic tip and a great education on how to check it rapidly when you are out on the site and checking the work done by the the sub-contractor. The sub-contractors, who may be the bricklayers or the Kingspan cladding sheet fixers to the SFS structs can be there to correct the elevation on the site from your direction. I would like you to show how you would check the plumbness and the position of the set steel stanchion on the foundation pad using the program of Reference Line. You said that you can use the same technique of checking the elevation of the steel column by fixing the point on the bottom of the steel stanchion and checking the plumbness at various heights for setting the grid offset of the steel correctly. Please show how you would do it in one of your next videos. This is very good video for understanding the full use of Reference Line with Leica. Thank you.

      Asim. I can't see your comment in full, but I use ref line to check the plumbness too, especially when quick check is required on column shutter while/after pour.

    Any video explaining interpolate ? For setting out drainage

    • @SITENG
      @SITENG  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not sure now if I showed it, but once you have 2 points with different height and using reference line you can set height to interpolated. I will be starting videos about groundworks and drainage soon 😁👍👍

    MR GREG, CAN YOU INCLUDE THE SETTING OUT #9 IN YOUR CHANNEL, I AM LOOKING FOR IT BUT CANT FIND IT, THANKS...MORE POWER

    • @SITENG
      @SITENG  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Ashly! I made a mistake and nr 10 should be actually nr 9, so there is nothing missing as the main programs are survey, stakeout and ref. line, apart from resection of course :) But you know what, I will do nr 9 vid with TS06 summary then - you inspired me to do that :)

    Is it possible to set out columns using stake out program?

    • @SITENG
      @SITENG  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, I always do like that, but you need to create local grid for it 😁

      Hi! Unfortunately I did not work with this one, but it has to be in settings and then you can probably set a button for it to turn on/off.

    What is the purpose of referente lime?

    • @SITENG
      @SITENG  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Almost all setting out will be done using a ref line, unless you have local grid system and with TS06 is better working in stakeout 😁

  • @EngrVine.x0x0
    @EngrVine.x0x0 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    How did you create the gridline? Just can't understand the latter parts.

    • @SITENG
      @SITENG  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Engr Vine! I created a reference line and this reference line is a grid line as I have the grid lines co-ordinates.
      Let me know if you need other explanation :)

      Please can you explain more on how to create grid lines

    • @paulbuckley52
      @paulbuckley52 20 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@iyceintegrated9062A gridline is not created as such in the total station it’s usually off the drawings, it’s simply 2 known coordinates extracted from the main drawing; it simply a line in any direction but usually one that’s relative to known features within the job.
      We use any of the gridlines which are most local and apparent to the area of the works being set out, these you will find will have localised dimensions given off them( left or right, up or down,) to locate a construction feature to be marked out. Eg column, drain, slab edge.
      If your setting up a local grid to control the job, then the origin where we work the values of the grilling from is the most south west corner (with the axis at 0 -90-180-270 degrees respectively, they are labelled as 0E, 0N…. (Or more preferably 100e,500n to keep all values in positive figures as you work north east.)
      So moving east, the numbers increase incrementally in higher values as the further you move east.. and likewise get greater as they go north.
      The total station allows you to pick out and use these known points by entering them into the ref line function.
      This let’s the user to associate any line that’s on random bearing to behave like it’s being rotated square onto a local grid as I’ve described above.
      Hope this explains.
