We took two of our fastest small go karts out to a friend's farm to race head to head in a backyard kart racing showdown! Our Lifan 200cc 5 speed homemade shifter kart goes up against our American Express 2.0 powered by a stage 2 Predator 212 running on E85. We do multiple 5 lap races; Ike gets lost and crashes into a ditch, my kart breaks down, it was a ton of fun!

Please start installing kill switches, throttles get stuck on those small engines way too often, I have scars to prove it.
They got kill switches on most of them
James Pollock I think he means kill switches that are way easier to get to. Most of them have kill switches but if your throttle is stuck open, it’s not easy to get to.
My go kart had one in the steering column

I have a 250 Kawasaki Ninja (2006 I think) that was given to me in pieces. If you guys want it for a build you are more than welcome to have it. Just cover the crate and shipping and it's yours. Sure you would just want the engine, carbs, exhaust and wire harness. Let me know here and we can make arrangements. Great vid. , keep up the entertainment.

Poor Ike was having a bad day. At least he didn't get hurt any worse finding that ditch and the bridge. I'm guessing it's 100°F out there, so the heat is getting to everyone even if it'd be fun otherwise.
Rubber mount the cdi box and that carb sounds like I could use some work also but it was a good video

@@bustinyanutz4195 No one's perfect man, but this is one of my favorite channels. Especially since they started using motorcycle/dirtbike engines. They're learning and getting into more and more. Them and a few other channels taught me everything I know about small engines, I've been able to take them apart and put them back together since I was 16. Nothing wrong with a little constructive criticism, that's for sure!

If you're going to race in the dirt tracts, you need to have dirt tires on both carts to make it a fair race.
The cart with the slicks was losing a lot of traction.
Exactly. If they put turf tyres on the kart Ike was driving it would be so much quicker on a track like this.

Getting some marking spay paint for creating track corner guides might help a bit better instead of using just the cones :)

I like this track setup because it really put the carts through the paces, steering, gearing and engine builds. Plus the drivers get a great work out . More at the Farm track! Plus some times trials!

Man it sure seems like you guys have the most amount of fun for the least amount of money. I love it. Who knew how fun a simple briggs on a basic go-kart could be. I guess you have to have a good place to ride though. This place was soooo good for riding. WIde open and relatively smooth.
