"I'm a terrible adult" I beg to differ, buying baby yoda fabric is EXACTLY what the best kinds of adults do with their money lol. I LOVE THIS DRESS SO MUCH!! You look beautiful in it and YAY nerdy!
_Suggestion for Floor Troll & Fabric Scrap Management_ - Zafu-style meditation cushions. It will make kneeling on the floor almost bearable (hi, metal knees in my future... shudder). this is exactly how spending adult money works! I still justify my hot toy Baby Yoda because I used stimulus money so it wasn't /real/ money. And he sparks joy. So much joy
Love the dress. Grogu/baby Yoda is my favorite. I just love him and I am very jealous of you squishaminal. The ears are great. I want to get that pattern and figure out how to make it in my size.
That turned out so cute!! Good job!! I can't get on the floor anymore but that was the largest space for me to work on with large marked cardboard mats. My girlfriend used to use her dad's gigantic office floor, unfortunately, she went through the carpet when using her new electric scissors while cutting out a dress. She glued it down and her dad never noticed, at least I never heard that he had noticed.
I love this dress pattern, and I feel so (can't find the word) that you made a mask to match your dress! Even though I'm writing this comment in July 2024, I still wear masks in stores due to health issues, and I always make sure my masks coordinate with my outfit. Yes, I have sewn my own masks (and Hubby's, family, friends, well over 100 masks, maybe even close to 200), so my masks fit me and my style (recycled silk for men's shirts from the 90s, and lace overlay, anyone?). Love your videos; you make me smile with every one!
Great dress! Loved the ears too! I'm jealous, & hope you really enjoy that dress, because you'll have a lot of jealous people asking you about it. Not to mention the ears. You'll get everyone wanting them. The Disney ones are a little smaller so that they stay one better. People don't want to over pay for something that keeps falling off. To fit the largest variety of people from 2-102. Enjoy! 😘👍
Watched to the end and your hubby is sooo diplomatic. LOL That baby Yoda ears are so cool! And yeah, I agree they should be lower. How did the ones for your kid turn out?
I was really shocked by his reaction, I guess I expected more, but yes he was pretty even keel (also, that my say more about me and my existence than I am prepared to wrestle with this morning). My kiddo's ears are still to be finished because she can't decide if she wants them smaller or the same size as mine.
Fun ears!! I’m here for the kid cam. Great work by your little one on the B-Roll! I also liked your going to the Star Wars section of Disney. It made it more authentic.
Thank you so much! I realized Candy hadn't been shared in a bit and she is just so dang cute! (Plus she really did BUST upstairs because she wanted me)
Hi from New Zealand, your dress turned out great. I wish I could go back to Disneyland. I find with bias binding, I get a better finish if I attach right side of bias to wrong size of garment. Also slightly stretch at this point. Then when you are top stitching it, you are looking at the right side of bias, and the right side of the garment. You can be very accurate now because you are seeing the finished side, and if the line of stitching runs off underneath, it really doesn't matter. Let me know if you give this a try, Heather 😇
Your ears look especially good because they sit up high on your heard. It matches your personality. Otherwise they would look droopy and down and like they were not for you. Good job.
I have to believe somewhere in that zipper stash there would be an orange one lol. Loved this video, the ears are so cute, and that fabric was amazing. Some fabric designer out there was very smart knowing we need a halloween baby yoda mashup!
The ears came out so well! I saw that fabric at Joanns and was *this* close to buying it but I already was planning on buying 20 yards of fabric so....I was a responsible adult for once. I'm glad you made the choice to spend your adult money on it! ;P

Your drama is so on point that I literally out loud gasped in horror when you said you forgot to cut out pockets, that’s how in the mood I am
My favorite part was all the baby Yoda.
Aww! Thanks!
Oh please baby Yoda tell me that Stephanie did make the ears at the end of this video!
