3:06 That phrase just changed my perspective of so many things, I never even thought of it before! I'm so relieved that your feet are still in the ground, I love everything you write Garret! Much love from Bogotá, Colombia.
So weird to think that Garrett would be one to have suicidal tendencies. From the songs and lyrics it always seemed like he was such an enlightened guy, but it really does show that no one is above anything in this world. Great video and great lyrics, love this song ❤
Garrett is not only my favorite Lyricists, but also had such an impact on my thoughts and view of things in life. Even being as old as I am, His fresh perspective have impacted me in SUCH a positive manner!
I felt such pain when I listened to Garrett talking specifically about love and for that reason I kinda feel closer to him. And I know that's a weird thing to say, but I guess the honesty he spoke with really made me feel what he was saying. What he said about us not being able to understand what's behind someone else's curtain when we can't even understand ourselves... That was real... This man is the best lyricist and I am happy he is still with us. Garrett, if you're reading this, God bless you! And I am so excited for the next album!
We couldn't be happier that you're still with us all, Garrett. The work you and Silent Planet do continues to be a beacon of hope for an untold legion of people.
Hearing those instrumental songs in the background, makes me wish that they come to Spotify like the last records. They are such a pleasure for studying
There is so much going on with this song yet it bring everything together beautifully. The level of depth as well as the juxtaposition aspect remind of firstwake which is cool cause that’s my favorite song and this is my favorite off of iridescent 🥰
i tattooed "2nd sun" on me after listening to this song a few times and i wasnt even 100% sure why. but the more i listen to it and learn about it, the more i realize that its basically the theme song of my life. describes everything i cant say so beautifully. thank you for writing this and staying around gart. love u. hope to see yall play this and cry with u on the next tour
Garrett will always be my favorite lyricist ever! I remember this song being about Anxiety but those other depths added in make it so much darker and complex, and I am here for it!
la colère=anger le cœur=heart (though, we more often say, 'the church of the sacré cœur' 'the sacré cœur' works too) im mexican, actually, but i appreciate your attempt. Dont stop there!
Loved the art direction/concepts for this album and each of the videos so much and how it all fit well together. I wondered about the Paris theme and if it was just a choice for artistic purposes (or if could have easily been any other city), but it makes more sense now and that there are connections and themes there too. The color palette filtering for the videos was really nice too. Very cinematic. Happy to see what they have next considering Signal (seems to be something like a found footage jdea which I like, an album or EP concept where each song deals with a different topic and has a different found footage oncept video to accompany it).
Connected heavily with this song after my last relationship ended, it’s more affirming emotionally and more sad to listen to now knowing what it’s about, and connecting the parallels between my situation and yours
I am so glad that Garrett is still around! The world would be a worse place without him, his intellect, his compassion and love

Sometimes the brightest minds are the most haunted.

I firmly believe this is the most beautiful song ever written, and it is absolutely my favorite. Thank you for this one
Just discovered silent planet and Garrett's lyrics ( thanks to my son) and couldn't be more grateful
✌️💛
One of the absolute best tracks in their whole catalogue.
You're a real one, Gar. Thank you for staying. Life is rough and cold sometimes. We all need love.
Loving the lyric walkthroughs as it allows me to comprehend the brilliance of your mind. Thank you for these!
Grateful for your beautiful mind Garrett. Thanks for taking the time to share.
I see you at every Houston show. It’s always like seeing my big brother whenever his travels connect with mine.
I love you, Garrett.

Garrett is probably the best human like ever. End of story. If there was a more loving and compassionate person I've never ever heard of them.
I literally could listen to him read off his grocery list Gartrude is a poet
these videos need to be a ted talk. life changing stuff, man.
Definitely one of my fav Silent Planet songs.
I've been looking forward to these lyric walkthroughs. The ETWS series was fantastic. Long time follower, your story reaches.
