Spot on advice in this tutorial. Turning a good post into an ad is the secret sauce. I've been pairing this approach with boost app social for maximum impact. It's all about that initial engagement.
That app's legit! Adds that extra spice to your social media presence.
I mean i boosted my post on a song a made and it took my song from 100 views all the way up 3.6k views. So of you're in it for the clout i highly recommend boosting your posts. If you got a spare 10 or 20 bucks its worth it. I even gained a few hundred followers just from boosting my post
What the different form a boost on a post and running an ad on the same post?
i have a question. i once ran a post boost for 2 dollars for one day, but at the end of the day, facebook charged me 10 dollars. i didnt understand why?

I just watched your video and I'm trying to do what you said but it's not working. After I select the post and go to create ad, it goes to a blank screen instead of going to the create ad window. I still seem to be on the Ad Manager window. In the upper left hand corner I see the facebook icon, menu lines and the text "Page Posts". I tried it with a few other posts and it did the same thing. Do you have any suggestions. I want to do a quick ad so don't want to have to build it from scratch.

boosting is not the bad guy, it's the one doing it who doesn't know what it is really for.
I'm watching this in 2019 (seeing this was made in 2017), and I'm not understanding what the difference is between boosted and an ad. In a boost, you can pick targeted audience by location, gender, age and interests. I'm wondering if this was an update Facebook made since 2017, because I'm not understanding the advantage of running an ad campaign has over a boosted post.
Boosted posts are "ads" in a way, but they don't give you much control over who the ads target. In general a boosted post just targets people who are already following your page. A proper "ad" created in the ad manager will let you set whatever kind of targeting, campaign goals, budgets (on click, on impression, etc), as well as targeting other platforms such as instagram if you choose.
@@dxsaigon I feel like I've been able to do ALL of that on boost post. I'm trying to get an up-to-date explanation from someone who has recently boosted a post. This info just seems outdated.
@@ThisIsJessPaul I was wondering the same thing. Boosting a post seems to let you target people that are not following you already...maybe she had thousands of follower when she did this video, and was just targeting those people. I myself need to find new people, so boosting seems to make sense
Some experts told me that okay it's the same, but from (Boosting a post) Facebook wouldn't be very accurate, spend more money, etc

I don't agree. With boosted posts, you can write as much as you want in your post, but with ads the number of characters is very limited so you can't put in much detail. I am not sure it's true that you can't control what people can do on it - I've recently done boosted posts and it asks what you want to achieve, i.e more messages, more post engagement etc. But my main problem with Facebook ads is the limited number of characters you can include in them, which is why I prefer boosted posts.

if people engage to my sponsered ad (made from an exsisting post) will those likes and comments apeare on the original post on my page as well?
Unfortunately, you can create ads unless you have a business account ..it will not create through personal accounts to sell for marketplace.
Hi Ms. Jessica. After using a boost, the number of people that my page can reach reduced from it's normal number. Before, I can reach an average of 250 people per post. But after using a boost, my recent posts can only get less than 100. I hope you'll be able to read and answer my comment. Thank you Ms. Jessica!
I tried listing my PC building services, but Facebook didn't like it. The thing is I had lots of responses, so is there any workaround?
(UPDATE) Facebook moved tools-page post. To find it, after you click ads manager from your facebook home page you'll see a search icon at the BOTTOM of the screen. Not the top, but on the bottom. After you click that you then type in "page post"
okay I'm confused because I have always understood that boosting is the cheapest most effective way for eyeballs to click on a catchy post but when you do advertising then you pay per click which could get extremely expensive.

I'm not very Facebook experienced but just opening online store so I opened a Facebook account for the store. I followed some groups that would possibly be interested in my store(yoga, hiking, sports). Then, when I checked on account, friend suggestion began flooding with inappropriate pictures, very inappropriate. I have children and, not only do I not want to see that, but can't have them see those. So I deactivated account. Can you tell me how I can have a Facebook account for my business without having it flooded with inappropriate photos? Thanks, I'm just very frustrated and disappointed.

So I should be able to use FB Ad to boost a post that is posted on another organization's FB page, Right? It sounds odd, but I have a post on another user's FB page. I want to boost that post. I can do it on my own FB account, right? Just use the link to the post on their FB account? Seems it should work?

Can you see comments on an ad (not boosted)? I was told you can't direct the conversation and rebuttal/correct erroneous comments unless it's a boosted post.
You can still see comments on ads, you can also reply to those comments.

Hi. Thanks for your video. I wanted to ask, I promoted my post through Facebook ads and when I published the posts. It actually starting showing multiple on my Facebook page of the same video. Is there a way I can club these two or more posts and accumulate the likes shares and comments. Although the views of these multiple posts are same. Each time I created a new add campaign I selected the video from my Facebook page thinking that it will accumulate or add to the likes comments and shares my video already has

Do you recommend using a static customized thumbnail on the video for fB ads or an auto play. If you’re replaying an existing video, I assume you don’t have the freedom to add a thumbnail. Is that true?

Couple of questions, what is an ad set and then how long should an ad be?
what do you mean by "how long should an ad be?" like the copy or the video? Ads are the bottom level in an ad campaign through facebook; it goes CAMPAIGN > AD SET > AD. The campaign level sets the objective, the ad set level sets the budget and audience and the ad sets the copy + images/video. Hope that helps!

So what about boosting your page on facebook it gives me large number that would bring traffic to the page because i am offering a product in the health and fitness industry and i am curious if thats the best way to bring in customers because i already have the button, so once the customers click on it it brings the customer to our web page. i am just curious if boosting your page brings in customers?
Boosting your page only bring viewers to your Facebook page. You can further create Ads to retarget people who engaged with your ads.
