    Hey Dan, looks good, and thanks for the idea. Chicken legs are still reasonably priced, which is very important these days. You made them look great.

    Hi Dan, We just bought a Pit Boss pellet grill and I was doing some research on how to cook some chicken legs. As soon as your video came up, I said to myself, "wow, that sure looks like Brookville lake" . We live in Richmond, Indiana so, not too far from Quacker town. We camp a lot at Mounds. Thanks for the video and the tips, I'm going to try cooking them tonight.
    Doug

      Let me know how they turn out, I'm sure that they will be delicious. Thank you very much for watching and commenting. I'm on the lake somewhere about everyday 8 months out of the year. Not only do the wife and I boat at Quakertown but I also work for the marina.

    I just bought a table top smoker and will be trying my first ever smoking session with some bone in chicken thighs tomorrow. I'll check out your video on thighs first.

      I have the same one coming tomorrow 🙌 great cook Dan regardless of the weather 👍 I was thinking of putting tin foil down also when I get mine to cut down clean up time but was wondering if it would hinder smoke or not.

    • @Dansoutdoorcooking
      @Dansoutdoorcooking  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The foil does not hinder the smoke flavor at all and it helps greatly with the clean-up. Thank you very much for watching.

    Those looked amazing! Definitely going to give these a try. I’ll probably have to wait until it cools down though. I want the smoker to cook the chicken and not the Texas heat. Hahahaha! Thanks for the video Dan!

      Thank you very much David, I'm glad you enjoyed it. I hope that you and your family are doing well and staying safe and cool. It's been an abnormally hot start to the summer here also, our biggest problem is that it's been very dry, unless it's storming, we have had a lot of bad storms but no soaking rain.

    Dan just started to follow you as I'm sniffing around this pit boss table top grill. Your first video I caught was the unboxing and burn in. You were having a scary amount of smoke coming out of your hopper on that video. Did you find any solid answers to your smoke issue?? Thank you

    • @Dansoutdoorcooking
      @Dansoutdoorcooking  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The apple butter was good but definitely better on pork. I'll be going back to a sweeter sauce for now on. Thank you very much for watching and commenting.

    It's done when it's done! Chicken legs are one of my least fav BUT dang if them drummies didn't look delish. Dang if you didn't even make the skin look good. I'm about to run out of Uncle Steve's Shake about the time my body and mind have said GET THAT CAMERA ROLLING, NOW!!! I am now considered in Inactive Cancer. Blood work every 3 months for the rest of my life but at least I'm alive. Nice cook Dan

      I'm glad that you are starting to feel better Britt, I'm glad you are enjoying your Uncle Steve's Shake. They may have taken forever and a day to get to temperature but between the wind, rain, and the fact that I kept opening the while filming they still turned out delicious. Thank you very much for all the support you have given me.

    what temp did you cook these at?

    • @Dansoutdoorcooking
      @Dansoutdoorcooking  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Because of inclement weather and time restraints when I was filming this video I ran them at 350. This is the only time I've ran this hot and fast, I normally cook chicken at 275. With that being said they still turned out great. Thank you very much for watching and commenting.
