    Hi Greg, did you use the smoke function to smoke the chicken or a higher temperature? We just bought a tabletop grill. We find you’re tutorials very helpful. We don’t know yet how to use the smoke function. Is it for turning on ore also for smoking? Hope to hear from you! Greetings from Holland! Tamara.

      Howdy, Tamara from Holland! Congrats on the new grill. The smoke setting can be used for the first 30 minutes or so of cooking. It stays at about 180-200 degrees and imparts a nice smoky flavor. After 30 minutes, you can increase the temperature all the way up to 350 or so for about another 30-45 minutes for tasty, crispy wings. Let us know how it goes!

      @@MRGREGSHOWTOthat smoke setting is it still smoking at 225 250 setting or is that just cooking ?
      Also on drip pan covering the direct heat there's a slide do you keep that covered the whole time or you just move it for a heavy sear

      @@pilot2020 yes, still smoking at 225-250 (really all temperatures). I only move the grate for high temp searing like on a hamburger or steak. Good luck!

    On the box showed cooking a pizza on it. Love to see what you think and how it worked.

      Hey partner! I’ve never made a pizza on it, but maybe I’ll try someday. I don’t know that it’s the best pizza apparatus. We shall see… thanks for watching!!

    Quick question for ya. I'm shopping this grill/smoker and I'm seeing 2 different models? A 150pps and a 150ppg. Is there 2 different models or am I just seeing this wrong. Thanks for any info and your videos.

    • @MRGREGSHOWTO
      @MRGREGSHOWTO  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey partner! Those are two slightly different models. Different color lid and according to the Pit Boss website the PPG has a 7lb hopper and the PPS has a 5lb hopper. There may be a few other differences, but I’m not sure. They probably both work pretty similarly. Good luck and thanks for watching!!

    So when you put it on smoke the settting is it a set temp or can you change temp ?

    • @MRGREGSHOWTO
      @MRGREGSHOWTO  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey partner! The smoke setting is a low temp range to infuse smoke flavor (about 180-210F I believe). You can start there to heat it up and then select your cooking temp. Thanks for watching!

      @@MRGREGSHOWTO thank you I appreciate I just bought one. Now should I have the tray open or closed in the bottom of the smoker that covers where the pellets go.

    • @MRGREGSHOWTO
      @MRGREGSHOWTO  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Wes2632 the tray is only open for grilling items like hot dogs and hamburgers. For smoking, you will leave it closed. Good luck! Let us know how it goes!

    What oil did you use on the wings?

    • @MRGREGSHOWTO
      @MRGREGSHOWTO  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey partner! I just used vegetable oil, but you could use a light coating of peanut oil or canola oil if you like. Good luck and thanks for watching!

    The best way I've found to get crispy wings off any grill/smoker is to give them a light coating of corn starch before putting them on........
    You'll swear they were fried....
