Thank you for this short video from 2017 of the CSX's 75th Anniversary of the Clinchfield Railroad's Santa Train. I enjoyed watching the train pass through parts of the State of Virginia. I really enjoyed the horn show put on by the engineer of the Clinchfield 800 while going across the bridge in the last sequence of the video. (Posted on 26 November 2024 at 1242 CST.)
The Nathan M5 Airhorn sure sounded good, I don't know why more railroads didn't use them. The Western Pacific most units had the M5, the 800 M5 sounds slightly different since all the bells were facing forward and I think WP had 2 bells facing back.

I'm glad you enjoyed it! It's amazing to see how the Santa Train tradition has continued.
Love the 800, there is something about those old EMD streamliners

Love to hear the horns echoing through the mountains!
The sound of the horns really carries in those mountains.

Been under that tall bridge in Duffield plenty of times waiting for a train to cross.
Very nice!
The Nathan M5 is the definition of one of the loudest train horns ever.📢
Me gustan los pasajes de trenes hermosos
Excellent,video nice aerial shots.was a drone used?
No, no drones were used on this outing.
That diesel horn operator tells a good story... but it's not a romance novel like a steam whistle. 😉
Didn't Clinchfield 800 have a Nathan K5LA? Or did they make the switch at some point?
Damn shame they don’t do this across the system like KCS.
Guy out there spraying and praying with their camera in the background
