Overwatch 2 on console already has a huge problem with ximming and it’s only in beta. My main account sits around 3800 for support and 3700 for tank. No MMR reset plus ximmers abusing widow and sojourn made the beta really unfun past day 1. Throw in the fact that now PlayStation also has 120fps there’s just so many people ximming on 120fps it’s unplayable unless you’re on an alt playing low elo.
Unfortunately using a xim doesn’t break either consoles terms of service so Blizzard can’t actually do anything if they wanted to. The real issue is that despite this, Blizzard has never even addressed the issue or mind the smallest attempt to fix it. Nobody at that company cares about the console port of the game or competitive integrity. The only reason overwatch was released on console was to make money. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT US. The only way to escape ximmers is to save up and get a PC.
Smurfing isn’t really a problem anymore than it has been always for many other games, people get 1 or 2 games where they go 40-0 and the. They are in top mmr lobbies. People love to freak out on smurfs when it’s just like whatever. And ximming isn’t that crazy, I know people that XIM, and I have played against many people that XIM in OW top500 games (on Xbox) it’s kinda just a feature at this point. It’s not game breaking, you can still win, just be better. Saying this game will fail from “problems” the first game had for many years, is like saying your dying cause you coughed once.

The first game had many problem, and it did affect the playerbase. Overwatch is one of the most decaded games in terms of player base in recent years. That's why they are making OW2 free and crossplay. If it wasnt free and crossplay. OW2 Console would definitely flop.
@@vKieron1 bro, ximming is not a big deal lol, I beat many people in lobbies that say they are ximming or are streaming with xims, it’s not a problem at all, or there would be no controller players in the high ranks at all, the fact that there are players in GM+ that still are controller, means that ximming isn’t a problem. It’s only a problem to people that can’t accept it.
