When I was growing up in the Caribbean I loved comics. I would read comics any chance I got. At my school I would be in the library on spare time just pouring over comics books and magazines. One day the head teacher walked in to the library and saw I was reading comics books and he got upset. A boy at my age should not be reading comics, you can do better than that. You have exams coming up, get into proper books and not this comic nonsense. I tried explaining how I felt about comics and where it transported me to but he wasn't having it. He complained to my parents that's evening, they flogged me and got me to give up my passion. It's not until I emigrated to Canada I realized how huge comics are and how important and Rich a cartoonist can be but by then they had flogged it out of me. I have since turned my passion for comics into collecting them. I promise I would never ever do that to my own children. Whatever they are passionate about I was going to support them no matter what. At a young age my son would dismantle everything he got his hands on to see how it works and how the pieces fit together then try to assemble it back. It didn't matter what it was I allowed him to do it. One more year of school and I'll have a civil engineer as a son. He'll finally be able to buy back every thing he destroyed 🤣😂🤣😂🤣
Your last sentence reminded me of all the things I destroyed while trying to "fix" them. Then if a battery died, I would take that thing apart claiming it's bad. 😂
I'm gad you changed that practice for the generation coming right after you.
Real estate investment is still the most rewarding ever.

My real estate investment gives me joy that is giving me longevity. Three yrs ago I was encouraged to invest in it and now I am a landlord in Owerri, Portharcourt and hoping to expand to other states. I don't even envy my friends buying cars. I am very contented.

Real estate is the real deal, growing I learnt that from my Dad . My dad although he was into businesses that had nothing to do with real estate, was always buying landed properties in different locations, he sold after some years and some he built on. All that paying off now as he is aged

This is an interesting video. Quite educative. Can you talk more on how to buy and sell stocks and shares and the meaning of Late estate because I have shares given to me by my late dad and was told to open account with late estate of my dad name. I didn't understand why I should do this instead of in my name

Wow I don't know there were something like investing in Real Estate. That was how I was discouraged not to study Electrical Electronics Engr cos I was told I must climb ladder and cut light, that is not ment for women. My dad was like we don't wear trousers so it's not possible for me to climb with wrapper. Na so I studied Chemical Engineering that I hated. But is well sha.

Is NEPA the only place that electrical engineers work in? And you ended up in Chemical Engineering that has the potential to take you to even more "treacherous" places. 😂

Real Estate in Nigeria is blood money. They way land and housing appreciates in Nigeria cannot be compared. As far as i'm concerned, that's the best and most secure place to invest your money.
Real estate is very lucrative but capital intensive though. But once you start, gradually you will get there and be so proud you did. Good job Big Sis.
Gradually is the key word sis. There's a real estate investment for every size of pocket. When I say it people don't believe me.

I was born in Americas, brother, Friends, ALWAYS tried to have distracted me from doing what is my intention, I wanted to become a Medical Doctor, one of my brothers Law instead, WHEN I gave him the Scholarship applications for him to signed, he NEVER sign them. I will help ALL my Village people who interest in Nursing. That is WHAT happened to Black people in general.
