    Good info, thanks!
Do you recommend wearing an ASO ankle brace in order to prevent a sprain, like ever?

I would recommend building up your ankle strength and stability so you don’t need to rely on the brace for support.
If you happen to sprain it, take a couple weeks off, and rehab it properly (as stated in the video), and the strength/stability will come back in no time.
If you always wear an ankle brace your ankles will surely loose strength/stability. Also, the brace places more stress on your knees, to compensate for the restricted range of motion. So if you roll it with a brace on, it could be bad news for your knees.

@@SkateAthletics Got it! Yeah, will do that. There is a channel of a physio therapiest that said his daughter uses an aso just for when she has games (basketball). He said she used to sprain her ankle almost every game or training, and that the brace has helped her a lot

But what you said makes perfect sense about the knees.

Yeah, I’m not a fan of wearing them all the time.
I played basketball in junior college, taped my ankles every day and it really set me back. I lost a lot of range of motion, and my ankles we so weak when I was done playing.
Building the strength is a long term fix, braces are band-aids.
