    This guy deserves WAY more subs. Most reliable Toyota info you can find.

    With good maintenance intervals like keeping up with oil changes using good-quality synthetic oils like Amsoil or Motul at every 5k miles for peace and mind, using Top-Tier grade fuels with a good amount of detergent agents and overall driving habits, I reckoned that the GR Corolla can easily get past to 300-500K Miles mark or beyond that on the original engine, turbo, transmission and differential without any serious issues unless you regularly track it and the issues I keep on hearing of the AWD system being overheated because of hard track useage or so I heard being the only main concern for the GR Yaris/Corolla platform. But other than that, just like any cars these days whether it'd be Turbo or N/A, maintenance is key people! I trust the engineers in the Motomachi Plant in Japan putting a lot of efforts and quality into their line ups to meet up its expectations on their quality control.

    My 2 favorite channels (Carcare Nut and Automotive Press) make a video on the same day on the GR COROLLA this must be a sign. Besides the mark up how do I get this to pass the wife approval. I guess we'll find out. Thanks again David for another great video.

      I told my wife “it’s a 4 door and cheaper than your highlander” and she said fine whatever you want.

    I'd rather not have the attention on me. This car looks perfect for what it is. Won't attract attention. Unlike the previous gen Type R that looks like it came out of a hot wheel box

    I pick up my Circuit Edition tomorrow. I can’t believe I got one of 181 in Canada! This is great info…great review as always.

    You should check your front struts and see if the shipping blocks were pulled from the springs. It would explain the feel every bump ride you described. Others have said it's not that bad and could use some coil overs for handling.

    I wish I can get one but it's stupidly over msrp in my area there freaking 10k over sticker or 15k over sad times.

    David, In order to close those panel gaps, I think the Takumi masters from the Motomachi plant need to take your Advanced Supply Chain Refresher Course in Vancouver. I am sure you could offer a 'group rate'. Better yet, they could pay you with a batch of GRs. 😉 After watching this video we are left with just two questions, when do you get your own GR Corolla and what colour did you choose? 🤔

  • @shawnm2597
    @shawnm2597 ปีที่แล้ว

    My apologies as this question is not related to the GR as much as it is to your statement "...we pay MSRP and never more...". My question is that I was wondering if you get the Chevrolet C8 Z06 car in Canada? And if yes, do they sell it at MSRP? All dealers in the US add on about 50K and more sometimes for the new Z06 so just wondering if you guys can get it up there at normal price?

    David. I don’t know why recently every time I watch your videos you are talking about the paint thickness and gaps…of the car. We need more informations than that to consider quality and reliability. Thanks

    ⚠️ Please help: Ok it is illegal to markup cars in 🇨🇦? I thought it was or heard something about it. I’m picking up my circuit edition tomorrow and they said they are putting the markup under “window tints” and I said so you are burying it and hiding it and they said yes it has to go somewhere because there isn’t a line for it. Is there anything I can do before my pickup tomorrow or contact Toyota Canada about it…even if it’s after the fact?

    Sure we pay MSRP in Canada, but it doesn't really matter when the dealer won't sell the car unless they puts 10k in addons eg. 4k in rust proofing and paint protection, tint. 3k for additional warranty and other ridculous things that ARE MARKED UP. It's even worse cause the allocations for Canada are much lower for example 1500 circuits vs ~200 circuits for the canadian market.. thus is life for limited run cars especially if you want it or you can just be a real dude and walk away.

      Yeah but the thing is that they won't sell/allocate too many for Canada- unless you're David or other you-tuber with large audience . I paid a deposit 13 months ago and heard nothing from the dealer yet, rumor is that I''ll be lucky to get it in '24 if not latter

      it's not, but if he calls it out he'll never get to review another Toyota, not to mention preferentially get models ahead of the line like us mortals , nor to be hired again by them
