Ma Lin has been playing professionally for three decades, starting in the 90s and yet he can still slug it out with the young ones. i hope the chinese team will let him play on until he gets the coveted men's singles world championship title. by then, he can retire and be a legend. same thing with wang hao, who is really itching for a men's singles gold medal in the olympics after THREE attempts. Apparently, there is a changing of the guards coming in a few years.

@SuperSexySalsa Ma Long switched to DHS custom made 7 ply wood blade with PG7 handle in the middle of 2011 and never lost a match until this Slovenian Open final to ZJK. Before this he had already switched from TBS to Timo Boll ALC for a while.

Nice match! Thanks for posting! But you shouldn't have cut out the bit where they kept wiping their hands on the table for 20 seconds straight before the final point of the game. It is still on the ITTV website action starts at 32:00. I was watching it live, it was hilarious!...Ma Long wants to be last at wiping his hands on the table but Ma Lin is trying to piss him off ;)

yea. cuz when ur waiting, ur body is not attuned for motion. it makes a big difference especially when you're nervous and trying to gain an advantage off the serve. i know cuz i've done it and back when i was impatient, a kid did it to me EVERY 2 secs. it pissed me off so much i threw the match when i was up, so whenever someone wipes the table, it's generally a good idea to wipe it too, or tie your shoe, anything that keeps you moving and not just waiting for them. make them wait for you
