In China, people never think Malong is better than the previous Chinese legends. I know Malong is one of the best now along with ZJK in this period of time, But People from other countries should just stop overrating Ma Long. He has not become the greatest Chinese player of all time.

I don't understand why people think Ma Lin is so great. He still has never won his grand slam. Ma Lin was just a great player to watch, he is definitely still a legend of table tennis though.

Ma Lin always had tough competition to beat. his chinese compatriots. Boll, Samsonov, Waldner kong and liu guoliang when he was younger. today hes out there alone at the top with one competiter who is still up and coming.

Boll who hardly played any tournament that year to save his body for the Olympics.Greatest t.t player my ass!Most of his opponents were in their 30's when he became invincible.Seems like you first started watching tt after 2015.

Wow Ma Lin is definitely experienced. Create power without committing your whole body to the shots (barrel rolling forehand), while playing slow, spinny balls until the first attack, picking on Ma Long's short game. Amazing wily fox.
@PreppyPoser1 no, he really did twiddle, but it's very hard to see. he just held the bat in some kind of shakehand grip for a very short time, slow motion on itTV shows it =)
@razhorblahd Yes, when smashing a high ball, Ma Lin usually twiddles this paddle to shakehand style, and uses the non-tacky rubber to smash, for speed and consistency. At 4:45, Ma Lin deliberately did the twiddling to give Ma Long the impression that he was going to smash...
Wow Ma Lin is like unstoppable! MaLong tried all the different tactics but malin just have so many counter tactics up his sleeve. In the end MaLong wasn't confident and he was frustrated, notice all the easy points he failed to score at the end.

@chokibert As far as I know a stipend is given to the facility while the rest is given to the players. Is that what you were asking for?
