Thank you very much! After dismantling my Roca water tank and everything looking in order I watched your video where you say the magic words "flip the seal". After doing that the problem was fixed! ❤
Have a Geberit and completely overhauled the thing. Removed both float and flush mechanism. Cleaned, replaced plunger/float seal yet missed that darn silicone seal. Took it apart again (!) and popped the blisters and done. Thank you for your help, saved me $300
Perfect. I was a bit sceptical about my ability to fix this problem but I followed your instructions and in less than half an hour it's in service again. Many thanks
Thank you very much, showing how these may be taken apart and cleaned was most helpful, and indeed solved the problem. kind regards to you. best wishes Simon.
Great instructions. The washer had an air bubble in it which was causing a slight leak. When I went to buy the washer, the guy said that if I had just popped the air bubble the washer would work again.
These washers sometimes look perfect and still leaks, but a change of a new washer stops the leaks, so popping the bubble is unlikely to stop the leak.
Thanks for this. Almost worked. Cleaned the washer as best I could, still dribbled, took big washer (6:30) off again, smeared both sides lightly with petroleum jelly (Vaseline) and stopped it completely!!!
Perfect timing-this is exactly what has been happening to mine, I've been wondering how to tackle it, and now I know. Nice little job for me this afternoon! Thanks
I guess Im randomly asking but does any of you know of a way to log back into an instagram account..? I was dumb lost my password. I love any help you can give me
@Jamari George thanks for your reply. I found the site thru google and I'm trying it out atm. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will reply here later with my results.
You did well to get the replacement part. Roca wouldn't reply to my enquiry where I could get a diaphragm. You skipped the very important stage of replacing the retaining disc which holds the diaphragm in place.
@@EducationPineapple I am in South America and could get an answer from Roca. I had hoped to pick one up in Singapore but no reply from Roca. I could have bought one on Amazon or Ebay but the cost of postage and import duty would exceed £100! I had one sent Airmail from a friend in the UK which took 6 months to arrive and I got off lightly with a $5 administration fee.
Great video, thanks. I have this problem but when I removed the inner section the washer stayed in the base. Looking at your video, the cap that holds the washer in place is missing from mine. Assumed it's been flushed. Are they known to break off? I'm assuming also I'll need to buy the complete new value mechanism.
The cap must have been missing from a previous person's effort...I cannot see the cap breaking off as it is very tough plastic. The cap needs to be there to flatten the seal, but also to add weight to the plunging mechanism. To save money try to change only the seal, maybe use a cable tie to lock it in and see if it stay on well without falling out. If it does stay on, I would wrap some heavy lead soldering wire above on the shaft to add weight. If it does fall off then click on one of the links in the description...the whole unit including the inlet valve is only £36 on one of the links. Good luck.
Thank you for the video. When I try to turn mine to get it out of the cistern it starts unscrewing the whole mechanism, how do I get it to just unlock the middle part please?
Thanks for the video. I have the same central flush unit. When you replace the cap over the washer (~6:50) you seemed to just plonk it on any old how & it easily snapped on. Mine is more difficult even with a lot of force. Did you have to align the 4 protrusions on the inside shaft of the cap with the 4 grooves on the shaft & then pull it on? You didn't seem to twist it on but getting it off did twist it before finally prising off with a screwdriver. Probably one of those things that you don't think about too much once you've done it a few times. Appreciate any advice - Cheers!
Yes you have to align the notched, push in then twist. You should try to clean all limescale off with a toothbrush...also apply a bit of vaseline or even some soap or detergent to help lubricate.
Exactly this problem but with Roca concealed system. Had 2 different local plumbers, one couldn’t get parts and second had no idea how to get to the innards so wouldn’t touch it! House only 10 years old. Someone must know surely!?

If it did come with a new seal, I would take it apart and change the existing seal for another one. Some times new parts can be damaged too. Imagine the part sitting in a box sideways resting on a shelf for years. The seal would become bent. Also could you please show how to replace the screw on the bath taps, the old once do not turn anymore. But I can't find the screw for bath taps so it continually dribbling! Hello for dripping taps on modern systems, please watch this video th-cam.com/video/DRL6gH_qxJM/w-d-xo.html May I suggest that the other two parts (base of cistern flush unit that fits onto the bowl and water inlet valve) are not changed for a leaky cistern that leaks into the bowl. I had to replace the ‘buttons’ and followed every instruction I could find. Now they won’t work at all. I press them down, but the toilet won’t flush. Any idea? Trying to fix myself before calling the plumber :(
you need to make sure the flush system is not installed 90 degrees (1/4 turns) off, or even 3/4 turns off. Make sure the 3 litre is aligned with the small button and the 6 litres is aligned with the big button + small button.
