Thanks for the view of the transducer. I have a kayak with similar grate below I was trying to figure out how to mount the transducer to. This helped immensely.
No worries Roger. Of note just be careful how you store and lift the kayak. I do not store it on its side and I only lift using the handles front and rear. I don't trust the side handles as a lift point due to the design which I think is more intended to move it in the water etc. Enjoy as I love mine
my bay sports yak has a similar transducer mount area and did what you did , not seeing your vid before hand, but my garmin 7in UHD gave a very bad reading back on the sounder may be i should have persisted with the same instal ,have mine mounted out on the side of the kayak, using railblazer mounts works great but can get in the way :)
I have a Lowrance Elite 5i fish finder with a side view transducer. I was wondering if it will fit in the transducer mount underneath. My transducer appears to be longer than the mount cavity shown on your video. I'm quite interested in either the Orca or Nextgen 10.5 or 11. Les
Without taking the transducer cover off the kayak I would say the recess on the 11.5 is about 200 to 220mm long if that helps. If you have side scan I would use a side mount to get below the hull depth.
hey mate a bit of a late comment, but when you were speaking about the transducergetting blits from the peddles is there a way to stop that occuring, and if it occured how badly would it effect side scan on my soudner? thanks
I have found that with the side mount if the transducer I no longer get the blips. I find the side mount far better for all aspects if the sounder, side scan, clear view and normal sonar. I hope this assists

Agree that the side mount can get in the way but I have it sorted now so all good
