That card you showed at opening isn’t just a demo of the types of lines you can do but it is the tester card for YOUR actual brush, showing it’s been properly QC’d and that it works!!
This is great, thank you. I bought this airbrush as my first one about a week ago so this video is really useful. I’ll be having my first go at airbrushing on the weekend!
That’s exciting! The airbrush really will level up your mini painting, and on top of that, it’s super fun to use. 😊
I was drawn to your campfire with Destiny and whilst I am one of those checked out destiny players for your channel I am here to stay for more adventures.
Great video, thank you. :)
1 video, 2 subscribers, well 3 now. Keep them coming.
Awesome video and very informative! Made me pull the trigger on ordering it.
Thanks for showing the various settings and applying it. I already own the Evolution CR Plus from H&S but I went ahead and ordered this. For a .4mm it is pretty precise.
I have the new Evolution CR Plus, and it’s amazing. Yea, for a .45 needle, it’s very precise.
Awesome video! Just purchased my Ultra - it's arriving in 48 hours and I can't wait! :)
That’s exciting! It’ll change your whole outlook on miniature painting. :)
Thanks for this. Started using mine today!
They’re fun and easy to use! Hope it’s going well!
@@GnomeLaborer it's been going great!
@@Uncle_Buck awesome! 😎
Hiya, thanks for the video, especially the tips on adding the paint last to the cup, makes sense. Have you ever tried using only the flow improver instead of the thinner? This was the only way I could get a good use out of Vallejo Surface Primer (black), and I've used it to good effect now on Vallejo Model Air generally. I read somewhere than thinner has the effect of increasing drying, so making tip dry and clogs more likely, but flow improver does not.
Yes, you can use just flow improver on its own, and sometimes I use just plain water.
There’s occasions where if I find it drying faster than usual, I’ll just put a few drops of flow improver into the mixture.
This is an awesome video. Start to finish explaining the airbrush and even a tear down at the end, perfect for me as I was looking for good reviews of this airbrush as my birthday is coming up
One thing though, the way you pronounce pipette, it sounds like you’re saying ‘pipe it’, in the UK we pronounce it as ‘pip ette’, is that really how you pronounce it over there?
Thank you!
And yes, I’ve heard it pronounced both ways, but I’ve always said ‘pipe it’ or ‘pipe et’.
After using mine i'm finding the settings that restrict the trigger just lead to very fast clogging. No paint come out of mine at any pressure on the level 3 setting. Base and Prime work ok but clog very quick so you have to clean the tip with a brush every few minutes.
I'm still to find a white paint that will actually not just gum up the air brush despite using eithe r a1/1 mix OR 1 to 2 mix of thinner and some drops of flow improver. It really does seem to hate white paints.
BY contrast... contrast paints work in it fine from the pot. Better than vallejo air brush paints... which is odd. Its nice but i think i;m just gonna get rid of teh trigger restriction dial and all its teaching me is to NOT use it if i actually want to get paint to come out before it dries.
Please note this is my first airbrush so could be doing loads wrong (i'm literally copying Harder and Steenbecks video tutorials...)
If you’re having clogging issues on the smaller trigger settings, you should try thinning your paints more. You may also want to bump up the air pressure as well.
If you want a good white paint, I highly recommend Createx colors. They’re made for the airbrush, and work great.
Just got this and notice my lever doesn't lock when i pull it back without pushing down
Might be an older version? Its the ultra 2024 that has this feature
It may be an older version.
Does it have the collar?
It may also be that your trigger isn’t set in all the way, or you may even be pushing down and not realize, as it takes very little pressure to activate.
4.5 Really ?
Sorry, I misspoke! The new needle for the Ultra runs at 0.45mm
