Climbing up the Chimney was the hardest for me especially when it's super windy at the Pali. I was stuck near the top (vertical) for less than 10 minutes because I didn't want to rely on the rope 100% in case it breaks. I was trying to figure out how to climb up (problem with short people 5'0" lol). If I relied on rope 100%, it would have been easier, but our leader Kenji said no. 🤔 I wouldn't have finished the saddles without Kenji and Lonnie so I had to listen to the leader! 😊
@thebestthingthatneverhappe6729 short people are normally fast on the saddle/skinny ridges (I can hear Laredo yelling at me on the skinny ridges) to slow down lol, but when it comes to vertical section especially when there's no foothold and the leader doesn't want you to rely on the rope 100% , that's the hardest for me...hold on did u say Kenji's going away party? Did he leave? Or was it Lonnie? Lonnie left for Florida.
@anil.3899 it was Lonnies going away to Florida, Kenji was at that one. What's your name? I wonder if u hiked with my other half. we hiked with Laredo in the past too, he's always very colorful 😄
@thebestthingthatneverhappe6729 oh I was at Lonnie's going away party (in Aiea at his house b4 heading to FL). He was just here this past June and he was hiking every day with our group. I met up with Lonnie b4 he went back to FL.
The amount of trust put into those ropes is crazy
100%
You should make videos more often. This is a good one. Thanks to the algorithm.
