We tend to group everything into IQ but the truth is intelligence isn’t a monolith. Some are good at certain tasks and bad at others (spatial reasoning is just one type of intelligence that IQ focuses on a bit too much)
Ah, those are IQ tests, on spacial reasoning, and every time Manly answered wrong the guy was turning more and more to camera (like at 4:30 top was the right one, at 6:45 the middle one, and at 8:20 the top again)
@@marcinkonik6865 manly overthinked for the 2nd one, because the middle is really the only possible answer it being a square is impossible as it must have a curve at all four sides. When we look at the images we know there should be a curve at all 4 sides, we just arent sure what, but luckily the answers are easy to tell apart and know which one is a mistake For the 3rd one, the theme is "break a line and relocate it", so in the 2nd image, it broke the left leg and placed it at the bottom right.
@@marcinkonik6865 both of them are about focusing on what parts changed and which didn't: in second example only two horizontal lines were changing to half circles, in third example first top then bottom halves were losing middle / and gaining corner -
@@marcinkonik6865 For the one at 6:45 the second column shows "folded" extra pieces attached to the symbols in the first column and you have to pick how that shape would look "unfolded" in the third column. For the one at 8:20, it's simply one line (or part of a line) moving to a different place each step. The exact length that the line ends up in isn't necessarily the same, though, and seems to be based on it's place in the "grid" instead of actual length. Thus, vertical and horizontal line parts tend to be shorter than diagonal ones. I hope this somewhat makes sense? I'm really not all that great at explaining stuff like this in just text, but wanted to try.
Answers, since I don’t see them in the top comments at least. 1 - Stack the shapes, simple ‘nuff. 2 - The dot goes from top-left to bottom-right, nothing else changes. 3 - The second piece is “subtracted” from the first. If already missing, it fills in instead (row 2) 4 - Diagonals from the second are subtracted from the first. 5 - The top half is flipped upside-down in the second column, then the bottom half is flipped upside-down in the third column. 6 - Same as 3 7 - Same as 3, but the central line the triangle are on stays in place. 8 - I think the second column is meaningless. Add a half-circle to the top and bottom of the first one and remove the top/bottom line. Answer would be the middle choice then. 9 - A fun one. Second column the top-right to the top-left, then bends it 45 degrees toward the top. The third column takes that, then flips the bottom-left to the bottom-right and bends it 45 degrees toward the bottom. Correct answer is the stylin’ Z up top. 10 - Add the dots from 1 and 2 in “stages”. Two half-dots make a whole dot, two whole dots it instead. Correct answer is the middle one. 11 - Like 2. The bottom line moves from bottom to top. 12 - The second column indicates you should increase or decrease the size of the first one. 13 - Same as 3. Funny how we had lucky number 13 for our number of questions.
8. The second column isn’t meaningless, the top and bottom lines get pulled in then pulled out. That’s why the last row’s second column looks weird. Only the top and bottom lines got adjusted, making it look like an entirely different shape 10. I think it’s just how many dots total, nothing to do with it being half or whole. First row has 5, then second row has 6, and the middle answer makes 7 in the last row

I bet it's just fourth wall breaking. Ie: the character is looking at the camera and seeing us and that's the "truth of their existence" is they're in a video game simulation.
I wonder if he did it on purpose because he knew people might comment about it, and comments can boost algorithm. Many people purposefully bait for comments nowadays on this platform lol
@@DeathnoteBBnot really, every single time he replayed the game, the character was already turned towards the screen. He only turns towards the player when you get it wrong, so he was getting atleast 2 or 3 wrong everytime He basically brute forced it by memorising the correct ones. @@far2ez He didn’t get different questions incorrect… he memorized what he did and picked those each time. How is trying to explain reality “getting defensive”?
Some neat logic puzzles to decode this language. As for the ending and what the title means, I do agree with Manly's initial theory. I believe the person playing the game is the unknowable god in the first place. We are what's behind the player character, and we are unknowable to them because our existence tells him his whole reality is fiction.
I did not know that deciphering Eldritch text means taking an IQ test. No wonder we can't make sense of it. In all seriousness, neat game. Good voice acting.
The true horror is realizing you’ll never escape the 9 to 5 life unless you succeed in the capitalist world on your own accord, regardless of whether you value leisure or work
When I got the notification I had a picosecond of hesitation, either I do my 1979 days over due assignment or watch this video. (fully serious when I say how overdue the assignment is.)
The player is behind them. "She learned the truth of her existence" The player is the truth. Essentially, they are puppets of some iteration, i.e charaters in a game or thinking they are making their own choices when they are not etc, etc. Their existence is based on the whims of a greater being of some kind. It's in the same realm of 'your existence is just the dreams of another being' shtick.
8:35 If I’m right that “not consistent” one actually was the answer. You’re meant to look at each row as it’s own thing to clock the rules for the last row’s last box. On this puzzle the rule isn’t that there’s some dots and an X, that’s a red herring. The actual rule is the diagonal bar / is split up as the sequence goes on. The top half goes to the top left and the bottom half goes to the bottom right. Following that rule the top answer is correct The next puzzle had the middle answer right because the rule was each row’s dot count grows in number. First row is 5, then 6, so the last has to make 7.
My theory (could be super far off tho) is that Dr. Wells figured out they are living in a simulation and this ancient text will give them the power to regain autonomy from player characters. The player being in control behind them like a puppet master is the answer to the secret of their universe. The only thing left is who will die when control is returned to the npc, the original character or the player who inhabits their body
offtopic but those stupid puzzles reminds me of the puzzles I have to do for certain job applications. It's the stupidest thing ever to do these "logic" puzzles when you don't even have to do them in the actual job! There's no purpose of them and they make you do 30 or more of them, and they just waste time. No wonder the unemployment rate is so high! >:(
I'd say he's probably on the lower side of normal IQ, judging from his performance. Some of these can be tricky unless you're above average at puzzles like these.
8:40 you chose the middle, it was the top, any one of the 2nd boxes shows a horizontal line appearing on the top left with the top half of the angled line disappearing... The 3rd box shows a horizontal line appearing at the bottom right and the other half of the angled line disappearing... Apply that pattern to the 3rd puzzle and you'll see the answer was the top option 😉

I wonder if he did it on purpose because he knew people might comment about it, and comments can boost algorithm.
Many people purposefully bait for comments nowadays on this platform lol
Can't have a horror game without puzzles. The genres continue to merge in new and exciting ways.
Manly fails an IQ test for 15 minutes
I mean he only got 4 wrong 🤷
@@DeathnoteBBnot really, every single time he replayed the game, the character was already turned towards the screen. He only turns towards the player when you get it wrong, so he was getting atleast 2 or 3 wrong everytime
He basically brute forced it by memorising the correct ones. I mean it's understandable if your logic isn't good enough for a game like this.
@@AGnar0k I’m sorry so you’re disagreeing with me, but saying he got LESS than 4 wrong, and still saying his logic isn’t good? Where’s your own logic?
You’re honestly my comfort channel manly, your video are always a safe space for me ❤
that was like, the BEST game out outtro I’ve ever seen
Ma'am if you want to be enigmatic that's going to cost extra.
Well done. Best youtuber.
She sound kinda... attractive.
The horror is a client who skypes you 0.05 seconds after they email you. Ma'am? Ma'am. Boundaries.
That's years!
I read this as your assignment from the 70's days.
@@555RavenCrow that’s funny
Rofl based 💪🏻
Why are you waiting over 5 years bruh
8:40 that hand at the top right scared me so bad for some reason 😭
Looks like Monitor Kernel Access is getting quirky at night again.
Bro’s language is an IQ test 💀
this game brings back 11+ trauma, which i think is its true horror
For real
what is 11+ ?
The client is so Courage the Cowardly Dog computer core
Just a couple of minutes in but I'm loving how Dr. Well *treat us*. Loving her voice too.
The player is behind them.
"She learned the truth of her existence"
The player is the truth.
Essentially, they are puppets of some iteration, i.e charaters in a game or thinking they are making their own choices when they are not etc, etc.
Their existence is based on the whims of a greater being of some kind.
It's in the same realm of 'your existence is just the dreams of another being' shtick.
I love waking up and seeing that Manly posted it feels like a little gift waiting for me at my front door :)
The knocks freaked me out like damn, I have a feeling there's more to it.
creepy IQ test moment
Was about to go to bed but saw that manly uploaded
Holy smokes im better at those kinds of tests than manly is. its unbelievable.
What's amazing is that it's the first time I can confidently say that I'm better at this game than Manly.
Uh-oh! The answer's right behind me, isn't he?
I love my time zone for 2-4am Manly horror uploads!
I remember those questions!! I used to take those kinds of tests all the time for my psych evaluations
They specifically mentioned cheat codes, a thing that hasn't existed for two decades. IS there a cheat code to the game somewhere?
>Look at those "letter"
Hold up, aren't those just pattern from IQ test?
Love you manly!
The questions are just like the ones they give you for the non-verbal reasoning section of the 11+ exam 💀
Perfect timing! Thanx Manly!
Following that rule the top answer is correct
The next puzzle had the middle answer right because the rule was each row’s dot count grows in number. First row is 5, then 6, so the last has to make 7.
For someone who is so busy you sure have lots of time to talk to me and watch my progress nonstop.
This was a fun game. I actually paused the game so I can try answering the questions 😊
i love the late night post, gotta a video to go to sleep to ❤❤❤
The closer I get to achieving happiness something bad always happens. My player is quite the rascal.
I love being awake watching old Manly when I get a NEW Manly upload 🥳
No, you don’t understand, the doctor has to have a deep, forceful voice and talk down to you the entire game. It’s necessary for the… horror, yeah,
Very cool and creepy touch to have the PC avatar stare at you!
Fantastic video manly.
I have never seen a game so blatantly insult one's IQ
Imagine doing a FaceTime with the employer and it’s just a bunch of wells that got real good at talking…
Manly seems the type of guy to play hollow night or collisto protocol
These puzzles are really good. I think manly only got it wrong 6 times in the video.
That knocking sounds so real
as someone who did answer similar type of questions for my college admission i am glad i got the answers right and didnt anger a god.
4:30 you chose the bottom (switching places with the shapes) you should have chose the top (changing orientation) 😉
room temperature IQ manly
I'd say he's probably on the lower side of normal IQ, judging from his performance. Some of these can be tricky unless you're above average at puzzles like these.
8:40 you chose the middle, it was the top, any one of the 2nd boxes shows a horizontal line appearing on the top left with the top half of the angled line disappearing...
The 3rd box shows a horizontal line appearing at the bottom right and the other half of the angled line disappearing...
Apply that pattern to the 3rd puzzle and you'll see the answer was the top option 😉
this is giving me 11+/grammar test flashbacks
doesn't help that i have to go do basically a second one in a week 💀
But then, I had a really good idea. I pressed F5. See, pressing F5 gave me a whole new perspecti- aaaaand you stole my lungs
Ah maybe the character is becoming aware that their true existence is you as the player behind them
Creations breaking into the 4th Wall Real World's Cool World story arc.
didn't know manly is so bad at patterns. Those weren't even the hard ones.
I remember these. Back when I applied to jobs, they used to give these as part of an IQ test.
Eventually, you just memorized them, heh
