Everyone asks "WHERE's Waldo?" No one thinks to ask "WHO is looking for Waldo?" or "WHY are they trying to find Waldo?", or "WHAT will they do WHEN they find Waldo?"

I feel like the ending of the game should have been a final standoff between Larry and the player. One bullet, a single chance to win. I don't dislike the way things turned out to be, but I feel the scripted nature of the last part lessens the tension.
With how much they put emphasis on the gun/scope, I was fully expecting there to be some sort of Silent Scope scenario where you get one chance to shoot Larry.
That's a big problem in a lot of horror games these days. The more you write the story, the less tension it has imo. Horror is in struggle. When you're dropped in the world, you know what the ending is. You're just waiting.

The first bit of the game will make you have 2 thoughts. "Larry what have you done" and, "Wait a second, we're technically stalking Larry. Are we the villain?"
At 23:44 You can see Mack's shadow against the wall right before you click the fallen mask. I wonder if there is a different ending if you look at that instead?
I was confused about why Findo never came back after the tutorial until I realized that he’s probably meant to be the protagonist, based on Beanie Man saying stuff like “we like finding people too” idk just a theory
I was so desperately hoping that there would be a twist at the end where it turned out the dismembered body was actually Larry's body and the guy that you play as was actually just another serial killer that had chosen Larry as his next target. Kind of like Larry meeting his maker. That would've been such a badass ending imo
@@foxinabox5103 nope, Willy Mack was wearing Larry's face which was the body in the bag. Hence why you knew "Larry" at the beginning. It was Willy Mack trying to hide as someone else.

I love how Larry is fearing for his life, being chased by an omnipotent being and Space CIA, and then BadassHero is just in a monotone voice going "you better get back here Larry, I gotta find you."
The way he increasingly becomes more hostile and stalkerish to Larry is so in character. xD Like seriously omg, I was getting more and more uncomfortable the further we went, but you pushed through easily until we realized Larry was actually a murderer.
This reminds me of those early video game creepypastas. Like this could be some old CD-ROM game someone found at a yardsale of some old lady after her Son was killed after being relentlessly tracked for some gambling debts. In his free time the Son was working on a kid's game, he was very passionate about it. But when he died, his spirit latched on to the game.
Just wait for "Doing Dishes Simulator" where you're a dad doing dishes after dinner and your kid is in the bathroom and you have to use the bathroom before you shit your pants. There you go, a horror game about trying not to make a mess in your pants.
Fun fact: "Larry" in the mall map was hiding among Halloween masks which does look a bit like a hint at what's gonna happen later. Also you can see that beanie hat guy among crowd. Another thing: that beanie hat guy was near car in the mall that Larry later stole. Looks like he almost caught him there. On road his car is being chased by black car, which is the only black car here, implying that whoever chases him isn't a normal civilian
Spoilers if you haven’t watched the full video…. At moments like 10:25 where you see his whole face, you can kinda see he’s wearing a mask if you look into his mouth and he’s also smiling. Another interesting detail notice is that whenever you press “next” Larry will run to the left while smiling. Even though his being followed and supposedly scared for his life, whenever you press next and he runs off, his face goes from scared to back to smiling. I originally thought nothing of it cause maybe the developer was reusing the same animation but after watching the ending, I can’t help but think that was deliberate.
The first mall level cracked me up. Manly correctly predicted Larry being in a store as a joke, then spent almost a minute checking anything but the stores. I was losing my mind. What an interesting game idea.

I know an old one that is kinda both, seems normal, becomes creepy but ends with wholesome, the name is Eversion.
21:31 The "Hey look, we found Larry" followed instantly by him crashing to the ground is perfect comedic timing
Honestly that ending makes me feel worse for the real Larry. Poor guy probably died in the same horrific way we did, and people probably think he just went missing since they saw Willy with his face on.
The first bit of the game will make you have 2 thoughts. "Larry what have you done" and, "Wait a second, we're technically stalking Larry. Are we the villain?"
It's really weird that we kept finding Larry or have to look for him but Findo actually knows that we are supposed to look for Willy
then larry was actually a serial murderer all along.
@@jomarcentermjmNot exactly, Larry was a good person that Willy killed and then stole his face
i liked that the detective guy was introduced really made him (and us) seem like the bad guy too, really made that twist hit hard
So the character we are finding this all along wasn't Larry.
The real Larry never left the Middlewood park
"Larry's right there by the way"
reminds me of the friend who tells you where Waldo is while yer tryna find em on yer own
Manly deserves his username
This feels so much like a flash game youd find in newgrounds
At 23:44 You can see Mack's shadow against the wall right before you click the fallen mask. I wonder if there is a different ending if you look at that instead?
Manly covers all endings if there are multiple
@@SirWarlow Not always. he didn't get the other ending for that chain mail game with a scene girl.
@@pixiv2914 what game?, whats the title for the video?
@@VIGGEN_MY_BELOVED Let's find Larry
@@РиммаАвазова-е4юnot that one the title for the video pixiv told about
when Larry said "you don't know what you're doing", when he was getting aggravated, I instantly knew he was the bad guy hahah
Did not think we'd get dropped from our lakitu cloud and lose the power to move the world. Really like the art style.
I was confused about why Findo never came back after the tutorial until I realized that he’s probably meant to be the protagonist, based on Beanie Man saying stuff like “we like finding people too”
idk just a theory
I was so desperately hoping that there would be a twist at the end where it turned out the dismembered body was actually Larry's body and the guy that you play as was actually just another serial killer that had chosen Larry as his next target. Kind of like Larry meeting his maker. That would've been such a badass ending imo
^^ this Honestly would've been something
Ah yes, the classic Uno Reverse
The dismembered body WAS Larry 's body, the actual larry, not Willys.
@@blueyandicyi thought its supposed to be our body?
@@foxinabox5103 nope, Willy Mack was wearing Larry's face which was the body in the bag. Hence why you knew "Larry" at the beginning. It was Willy Mack trying to hide as someone else.
I love how the black figures at the end following him are the ghosts of his past victim. 17 exactly stood in the last section between the hunter and Willy
bruh how are you so good at finding him right away. you got binoculars for eyes
as I said to a completely different comment.... he's a pahanohmal cahp
Larry is the only fella who doesn't "bounce" like others
@@RubyLing_but he's small and u kinda barely notice him in the crowd
Imagine if the game asked you to take a selfie at the start to introduce yourself, and then used that selfie as Larry's new skin mask at the end 😮
Ngl I felt really bad for "Larry" up until that ending damn,,,
Same 😮💨
I love how Larry is fearing for his life, being chased by an omnipotent being and Space CIA, and then BadassHero is just in a monotone voice going "you better get back here Larry, I gotta find you."
6:05 JUST when I was thinking this game wasn't being super creative with its concept, this happened and startled me!! So cool
"Huh, you really dont wanna die."
GOES ABSOLUTELY SICKO MODE WITH THE QUICKSCOPE
Little disappointed the ending didn't feature the announcer saying "Larry found you!"
A second playthrough of this is neat as you can see that red-hatted detective in almost every stage as well, usually close to "Larry,"
Dude was hopeless and then suddenly got strong af even able to genocide the whole squad that was following him and the player.
And he had been running the whole day escaping, got shot in the chest and fell down a 20 story building.
@@papyrustheskeleton9498Shot by the biggest rifle caliber nonetheless. .50 cal can penetrate armor.
So he's basically Michael Myers from the Halloween movies?
@@unimportantcommenter4356 then just uses Armor peracing rounds or anti tanks rouands from a tanks lmao
I guess he had to act hopeless to keep up the larry persona and to not expose himself to the public. Second the chips were down, he didn't hold back
The way he increasingly becomes more hostile and stalkerish to Larry is so in character. xD
Like seriously omg, I was getting more and more uncomfortable the further we went, but you pushed through easily until we realized Larry was actually a murderer.
Larry was not a murderer, it was Mack whatever wearing his skin
Nothing good comes from finding a person named Larry.
Phoenix Wright: _nods_
That one Larry Davis
Fr
larry from gumball
This reminds me of those early video game creepypastas. Like this could be some old CD-ROM game someone found at a yardsale of some old lady after her Son was killed after being relentlessly tracked for some gambling debts. In his free time the Son was working on a kid's game, he was very passionate about it. But when he died, his spirit latched on to the game.
Thank God it's Manly playing this game because if it were me I don't think I'd have gotten past the first freaking level
I was expecting this to be you keep finding Larry and slowly drive him insane
I knew i should have expected more from the Night of the Consumers devs
I'm convinced everything is gonna get a horror variation at some point.
And I'm here for that
cant wait till someone makes a creepypasta about bee swarm simulator, tboi or other stuff like that
Just wait for "Doing Dishes Simulator" where you're a dad doing dishes after dinner and your kid is in the bathroom and you have to use the bathroom before you shit your pants.
Oh shoot that is a really good foreshadowing, him hiding among the masks.
Larry just wants a quiet life.
Yuuuup, his face is so slack and baggy that its extra creepy, not even the elderly get that bad 😰
What's horrifying is Manly's talent at this game
The first mall level cracked me up. Manly correctly predicted Larry being in a store as a joke, then spent almost a minute checking anything but the stores. I was losing my mind. What an interesting game idea.
Larry must have earned a 7 star wanted level to have Manly going after him!
I wonder if Manly has ever considered becoming a VA. I like his voice.
Props to Manly being able to find Larry in a matter of seconds, had to pause to look for him lol😂
These indie devs get more and more creative by the day. I was not expecting a Where’s Waldo Horror game to appear in my feed today.
As science has proven over and over again, the more you Frack around, the more you find Larry.
"Oh god I'm mortal" best line ive heard in one of these wierd horror games where you play someone who isnt on the ground all the time
Man this was a really good concept and I love the twists. I thought we were the baddie stalking some dude.
I was only able to find Larry once before you did. You have the eyes of an eagle, Manly.
There's no way that guy is jusy a regular serial killer, he tanked a 50. Cal,fell off a building and still lived
And he was still able to dodge bullets after that
He's clearly a Creepypasta character. That's the only explanation.
Larry feels like a slasher from HtV and the mob guys feel like hunters tracking him down
"GET BACK HERE LARRYYYY! LARRYYYY! I WILL CHASE YOU TO THE END OF THE EARTH" - Manly said calmly
it's creepy how they all look directly at you
This is surprisingly high quality, the story, view angle, game mechanics and twist so well blended together.
I find it funny how the "You found Larry" is the same tone/sounds similar to "You got mail"
Who Needs finding Larry when you can own a 50. Cal Sniper Rifle.
Loved the creativity behind this game, I went from feeling bad for Larry to straight up horrified 😅
9:38 is pretty interesting to go frame by frame on, noticed a bit of an oddity there, I love the attention to detail
I know the scene of larry stabbing the dude is supposed to be scary
But the roll transistion on his sprite and the instant dramatic framing on his gun made is so hilarous to me for whatever reason
it's like the memes
i started laughing so hard.
