  • Manny Pacquiao, he's your favorite boxer's favorite boxer. In this video we talk about and analyse some of the moments where Manny Pacquiao defied his opponents and electrified the fans of the sport of boxing. He's had a long career so far over the course of 4 different decades. He's the oldest welterweight Champion ever, he's an 8-weight division world champion, and he's got the country of the Philippines backing him into every fight he takes part in.
Some fights in this video include Pacquiao vs. Miguel Cotto, Marco Antonio Barrera, Chatchai Sasakul and Ricky Hatton. Pacquiao has broken so many world records and he's still chasing more, if he beats 2 more world champions he'll beat Floyd Mayweather's record of 23. He's humble, respectful, and fights his heart out - what more could you ask for? We hope you enjoy this video! And if you'd like to see a Part 3 to this video, let us know in the comment section below!

When talking about the GOAT, people forget the terror Pacquiao brought in the boxing world in his prime. Mayweather had to dodge him for 6 years and waited for him to be KO'd past his prime to fight him. He defied everybody and dodged no one, all with the weight of his country and as a senator. The best fighter to ever lace it up.

Their fight was closer than the commentators made it seem like. That said, Mayweather and Pacquiao should have fought 6 years sooner, yes, but that doesn't mean Pacquiao would have won. Mayweather's own hand speed was better then too, and could always figure an opponent out as a fight went on. But it would have been a tremendous fight that warranted a rematch, without question!

If there was a list of best boxers in history, pac man would definitely be top5, mayweather will NEVER compare, yes he beat pac man technically… how ever that didnt stop pac man or change him, why because pac man was always humble, so defeat although heartbreaking it doesnt make him less of a fighter. But mayweather (and see for yourself in all his fights after) changed after getting in the ring with people like pac man. Floyd is SCARED to lose, once he got in the ring with people who he knew out matched him in terms of skill it became apparent he was scared. He then became a business man who only fought for money, he is FAR from the greatest fighter no matter how undefeated he remains. Example: Mike tyson who has lost plenty on fights, remains one of the greatest boxers of all time. Floyd however does not know defeat therefore is scared of it. He claims to be the best fighter simply because of a win loss record but he will never understand what it really means to be the best. Hes simply a successful business man who at one point in time (his prime) was a decent boxer with an undefeated record. He will never be up there with boxers like pac-man, julio cesar chavez sr, mike tyson, Muhammad ali, sugar ray, dempsey, or other legendary fighters. Hes simply the most successful business man in boxing. And that is what he will go down in history as. He wont be remembered by who he won or lost against but why he remained undefeated… which was because he refused to fight if he was too scared he might lose. If he didnt find it possible to win by score cards he wouldnt fight. (Not his entire career, only after he realized there is more skilled fighters out there like pac man)

Following up on Floyd Mayweather’s admission that Manny Pacquiao would overtake his mark of 23 world champions beaten, WBN decided to crunch the numbers.
Going through both records with a fine-tooth comb, it seems Mayweather has counted his two victories over Jose Luis Castillo and Marcos Maidana.
The actual number of world champions defeated by Mayweather is 22. The total reaches 24 if you add the rematch wins.
Pacquiao, on the other hand, has 22 victories over recognized title holders. That number stretches to 25 with second triumph.
Therefore, the Filipino Senator holds the record all on his own. A blow to Mayweather, who obviously wanted to hold on to it a little longer.
Below is a list compiled of all the belt holders who the two rivals have overcome.
Unless Floyd Mayweather comes out of retirement at the age of 43, the record stays with Manny Pacquiao.
    FLOYD MAYWEATHER - CHAMPIONS BEATEN
    Genaro Hernandez
    Diego Corralez
    Gregorio Vargas
    Carlos Hernandez
    Jesus Chavez
    Jose Luis Castillo (twice)
    DeMarcus Corley
    Arturo Gatti
    Sharmba Mitchell
    Zab Judah
    Carlos Baldomir
    Oscar De La Hoya
    Ricky Hatton
    Juan Manuel Marquez
    Shane Mosley
    Victor Ortiz
    Miguel Cotto
    Robert Guerrero
    Canelo Alvarez
    Marcos Maidana (twice)
    Manny Pacquiao
    Andre Berto
    MANNY PACQUIAO - CHAMPION BEATEN
    Chatchai Sasakul
    Lehlohonolo Ledwaba
    Jorge Julio
    Marco Antonio Barrera (twice),
    Erik Morales (twice)
    Oscar Larios
    Juan Manuel Marquez (twice)
    David Diaz
    De La Hoya
    Ricky Hatton
    Miguel Cotto
    Joshua Clottey
    Antonio Margarito
    Shane Mosley
    Brandon Rios
    Timothy Bradley ( twice)
    Chris Algieri
    Jessie Vargas
    Lucas Matthysse
    Adrien Broner
    Keith Thurman
Despite this fact, Pacquiao rattled through the divisions and became a world title-holder at seven or eight different weight classes, dependent on which sanctioning bodies you count.
Losing seven times, the 41-year-old has made comeback after comeback and continues to reign at welterweight - even today.

I appreciate that you've actually done some research to back up your opinion, unlike so many other boxing fans. But you missed one champion that Mayweather defeated, and 2 of the world champions you listed on Pacquiao's list were never world champions.
In 2000 Mayweather defeated Gregorio Vargas, who held the WBC featherweight title from 28 April 1993 to 4 December 1993.
So this puts Mayweather's champions defeated number at 22, not 21.
Jorge Solis was never a world champion. He is a former holder of various minor and regional titles, but never a world title. He held the WBC LATIN AMERICA title, not WORLD title.
Lucas Martín Matthysse is also not a legitimate world champion. The WBA (Regular) title is not considered a genuine title. Only the WBA (Super) title. If it were, then the WBA would have 2 champions at the same time, therefore the higher WBA (super) belt is the only title recognised by the other 3 major governing bodies. The same goes for the WBC Interim title.
So Pacquiao only defeated 20 champions, not 22.
Mayweather and Pacquioa are both incredible fighters, and I firmly believe they are the number 1 and 2 greatest boxers of all time.
