I've used Retopoflow for about a year. I like that it's in the viewport and not a "ported" setting in the viewport. I think, because of user needs there will never be a single retopo tool that does everything. :D
Hi @kenzietownsend6644! Yes, that’s a great point. Retopoflow is definitely an excellent addon, and I’ll actually be making a video about it soon-stay tuned! 😊
@ Its a good addon. Just thought I'd add that over the $85 Retopoflow. I do like your teaching style. It focuses on the thing you're talking about without all the fillers and side quests. :D
@ Thanks! Yeah, Retopoflow is great, but the price can be a factor for some. Glad you like my teaching style! I try to keep it focused and to the point. 😃👍
6:25 Haha, I've used this addon for years now and it thought me 2 things: how to be very fast when modelling/retopo and how to save all the time while using the addon. It crashes quite often, but as long as you remember to save, it's a very powerful tool. I can't even imagine not using it.
It's great to hear from someone with years of experience using this addon! Knowing that you found it incredibly useful and powerful is very encouraging. I'll definitely keep in mind the importance of saving frequently while working with it. Thanks for sharing your insights! Cheers!
Thanks for the addon, very nice, but I have a problem...I can't select vertex and exges , sometimes I manage it, but most of the time I don't. I can select them only if I zoom out very far from the part 🤔 the same with 4.2 and 4.3 blender versions
I checked better. I can select lines and vertices only if I can see them outside the body outline. If they fall within the outline, I cannot select them; I have to rotate the view until I find a point where I can see them without having the original mesh to recreate behind
@ That sometimes happens if the vertices are inside the target mesh. The same thing sometimes happens with Maya Quad Draw. Try to keep them outside or on the surface of the target mesh.
@@medicciGame I try but it doesn't work. The vertices are outside the target mesh, at least that's how it seems. Do you know any settings to use to keep more offset?
Nice retopoflow alternative, much better visibility
Hi @sammy_freddo, yes it's a nice alternative, thank you, best!
Nice addon, thanks!

Probably the Powersave addon could help there, you can set custom auto-save intervals.
@@GPEART1 great tip, thank you for sharing! Best!
Nice....does it work whit 4.3.2??
Hi @robertocassettari198, Yes it works for 4.3.2. Best!
Looks like inspiration from Modo :)
Hi @Marc0dagi, yes you are right. Best
!
The "inspiration" for this plugin comes from Maya's Quad Draw tool.
wow it is amazing
