Another metric: Jordan was coachable. In Finals game 6 vs Utah, Phil Jackson told MJ during a TO, "Your legs are tired ands you're leaving shots short. Make sure to follow thru." Watch @34:10, he listened, and remembered, and held it up there.

The problem with this debate is theres a whole h.o.f career in accomplishments seperating them and the fact bron has played way longer and hasnt come close to a few of them means alot. If i said Billy Mack was a league mvp 2 time finals mvp a dpoy 3 steals titles and 9 scoring titles youd say Billy had a h.o.f career possibly and if not a very impressive 1. Those facts cant b overlooked because of longevity alone u have to come close 2 those accomplishments

Rule set changed the game so much that it is too hard to take todays stats serious.... Look at the Olympics and how nobodies were sticking to our best.... You are comparing stats for a guy that played against rim protection and hand checking and no defensive 3 seconds to what todays cupcake league... This is why anyone that says LBj is better has zero eye for the game nor knowledge of what the NBA has turned into...

Lebron's stats have been inflated in recent years by "point inflation". In any era in any sport, when you are over 35 you score less, and in general you score less as time goes by. With a certain exception. NBA after 2016. The players did not become better at an older age, but it became easier to score. Why? More open spaces because you have to defend yourself from 3 points, the rule in favor of the attack and the non-sanctioning of rule violations (steps, travels, etc.).
At the recent Olympics, it was clearly seen that top NBA players cannot score as usual if they have a serious defense in front of them, other rules, and travel/steps penalties.

Ultimately everyone has there own goat. So trying to convince people will not change their minds. I hate to say this but most LeBron fans can't accept anyone saying it's someone other than him. It doesn't help that LeBron has his own followers in the media that constantly put down other players to prop him up. Can't think of any other players in the NBA that do that. Don't get me wrong I'm not saying he is not a good player. Top 10 in my book. Just not #1.

Lebron james had NEVER reached fhe peak Jordan did and thats sad seems how this past couple generations have been way easier to play in! Very easy to get to the basket and a 3 second violation rule that wasn't in affect when Jordan was playing! A big man could literally live in the paint all game long! Jordan is the second fastest to 10,000, 20,000 and 30,000 points! To even have 32,000 points in Jordan's13 season career is INSANE! Only player to win defensive player of the year snd MVP in the same season! 1988 season is the best season by any player in NBA history! Jordan won the scoring title 10 times, 10 consecutive times! LeBron just once! Jordan led the league in steals 3 times, LeBron led the league in assists just once and that was during the highly unusual shortened 2019-2020 season! These are the only two cases that LeBron led the league in any box metric! The hundreds of games that LeBron has played over Jordan and the close to 20,000 more minutes. Lebron has four League MVPs to Jordan's five! Michael Jordan holds the record for most 50-point games in the playoffs with eight. He holds the record for most 40 point playoff games with 38! And LeBron only has a handful more 30-point playoff games than Jordan and playing considerably longer! Michael, Jordan is only one of two players in NBA history to score 3,000 points in a season and no one has done that since in this Let me roll out the red carpet for you NBA we have now! Jordan didn't want to just win. He wanted to beat you. He wanted to prove that he was better than you! Jordan would constantly take the best player on the opposing team and say im shutting him down, ive never seen LeBron do that! Lebron has slacked on defense countless times, not hustling back, not playing defense at all, just standing there. Sitting over in the corner while his team tries to get into the paint, standing there doing nothing and/or waiting for an easy lane to the basket after ge has the ball passed to him! Ive seen that many times! Go look how lebron played in the 2011 and 2013 finals! Seriously watch him and critique what he does or doesn't do! Its quite laughable! LeBron is the sole reason why his teams lost many times! Lebron wasn't even the best player on his team a lot of times, Jordan was always the best player! Jordan hands down!

@@Cpski4 why not, sub and a like. PS you can still like LeBron more knowing Jordan is the goat. It's not crazy to do that. Hell Penny was actually my favorite player when I was a kid. In the early 2000's I couldn't stand Shaq and Kobe, I was a Iverson guy from day one but never discredited them. It would have not only bin an insult to them but an insult to Iverson as well. So many great young players got drafted in the 90's that were extremely talented. Shaq, Penny, Tim hardaway, Grant Hill, Jones, Kobe, Iverson, tmac, Vince Carter, Stephen Marbury, Duncan, Garnett, Paul Pierce, Dirk, Nash, Ray Allen the list goes on. 90's and early 2000's were peak basketball. It's even weird to me how this younger generation calls the early 2000's trash now just to support LeBron, when he is apart of the early 2000's era. He is not apart of this young generation of basketball or talent. And his offensive game was never even as good as even a young Paul Pierce. Bron really can't dribble that well, foot work is sub par, his shooting form alone is mid at best, has one turn around jumper he's bin practicing from 2007 and post game is sub par for his size especially. Not even a good free throw shooter and other than the dunks or layups, his game is kinda ugly and predictable. Drive the line try for a dunk or layup, if not pass to one the wings for a 3. When he's tired or pretty much given up he just shoots a 3 with that ugly one step 3 point fake🤦🏽‍♂️. LeBron is a all time great but he is great because he is physically gifted, a powerhouse above the rim player. Someone who has had the green light to always have the ball and do anything he pleases with it from his career began. He has never had the offensive skill set of any of his peers even, Melo for example way better all around offensive play can score from anywhere. And for someone who is supposed to be this unselfish ultimate pass first guy, he averages one more assist than MJ for his career. I think I've said more than enough.

@@Cpski4 Jordan because he had the most achievements in the least amount of time. Individual stats and team stats are actually crazy! Won his first chip as the only all star on that Chicago team that year. MVP, Dpoy, scoring title, steals title, first team all NBA and first team all defense, all star MVP when they actually played to win and won the dunk contest. That was just one season I'm talking about, that by itself is pretty much Hof worthy. Them I'm gonna have to go Kareem, as far as Individual accomplishments and team success goes I'd say he is the closest to Jordan. Won at every level as the man, still with more MVPs and rings than LeBron who had the all time scoring title for decades still wasn't regarded as the goat. Which is why I don't get the longevity argument for LeBron being in the conversation. He still has guys to get past. The next guy I'm gonna put there that may be a surprise is Shaq. Most dominant player ever, especially in his prime, literally nobody could stop him! Was on there creating more posters than a printing press, breaking backboards so much the NBA had to engineer new rims and backboards. Hated his guts on the court🤣 but that dude was always fun to watch. I think everyone agrees had he taken his health seriously and stayed in shape he could have won 6 at very least. Especially if that laker team stayed together. That Lakers three peat is the only one since Jordan's bulls, something the heat with LeBron and Wade at their peek and warriors with Kd couldn't manage to put together. Shaq was a monster, you should look into doing a Shaq video. I think being the most unstoppable player in NBA history should give you ranks in the top 5 at least. I can't have Bron in my top 3, not because his stats aren't obviously great but he has had the most stars along side him. Still has losing records in the finals against multiple all time greats, Duncan(has more rings), Steph (4 rings= to LeBron), Kd and Khawi have better finals records than him in his supposed era. People make the excuse that he only lost because he had to play the warriors. But never seem to say his teams were so much better than the teams in the East for him to appear in as many finals as he did. He had an unfair advantage with the heat and that Cavs team. Still people just say he won, never discredits his wins. So if that's the case when he wins it has to be the same when he loses. And he has lost on big stages a lot, NBA and Olympic bronze ish. Hell even Harden's rockets with an injured Paul took that warriors team to the ropes and that cavs team got swept, supposedly being a better team than Houston with the better player. But couldn't even win a game? And people don't hold a lot of losses against him. In 20+ plus seasons, rings aside, in a league where it's much easier to score and with the freedom to do whatever he wants on the court at any time. Hand picking players and even coaches, having everyone play in the "LeBron system" he stay hasn't achieved even the individual accolades Jordan did. And MJ only actually played 11 full seasons with the bulls. Broke his foot his second season and came back the end of another season after he came back from retirement the first time. So in 11 fulls seasons with the bulls, look at what he achieved. Retired literally at the peak of his prime and retired again still in his prime because apparently Chicago's front office are morons.
