this by far is the BEST tremolo and reverb unit pedal i've ever heard!! i've already decided to sell off a few pedals just for this one! it's so lush and harmonic!!!!
I've got one of these. It excels at both reverb and tremolo...makes everything else seem cheap or vanilla. You don't see many used ones for sale because of this.
Might be cause it is said flynt color the sound lots, i did the same he says bought the bluesky and have a jack rabbit trem that is transparent, but still have the question if was better to buy the flynt instead....
+LoftOfTheUniverse The reverbs of the Flint are actually unique to that pedal as these algorithms are not found on any other pedal we offer. They can get a bit darker than any other reverb we offer as well.
Thank you. You guys seriously have the most reliable support/social media responses. I own a few products and will definitely keep going back. Thanks again.
+Joseph Badalamente Unfortunately, this example is only possible on the Flint or with separate tremolo and reverb effects. Since the TimeLine does not have a Tremolo that affects your dry signal or a reverb, it is not attainable with that pedal.
Thanks for checking out the video! The Flint does not actually pan your signal, however, we do use psycho-acoustics to provide a stereo presence to the signal.
Hello guys! Awesome effect! Love mine! In the 1st demo clipe, up-tempo slide, it says you guys are routing verb then trem, but in the short desc it points trem > verb, then in the phasey clip it says verb 1st and in the short desc it point correctly verb into trem. Just wanted to point out and check who comes 1st in the up-tempo slide demo. Love your work, makes mine a lot easier! Regards!
Hi +Mateus Borges, thanks for checking out the video. In the UP TEMPO SLIDE clip, the Tremolo feeds into the Reverb. Where do you see it say that the Reverb feeds into the Tremolo? This way I can correct any misinformation we may be presenting.
+strymon Heya! It may be my poor english abilities, and if so I'm really sorry, but in the description it says "in this example, the reverb is first in the chain, true to a vintage combo amp".
@Strymon Would this be a good pedal for just the two things, Trem and Rev? My other options was to get a or rather, save up for a Blue Sky, and get a tremolo pedal from another maker....
It does both tremolo and reverb together or independently and 3 different kinds of each effect , why get 2 separate units 🤷♂️ it’s a No Brainier : just get the FLINT you won’t be disappointed 😎👍🏻🌞⭐️👍🏻
Hey Strymon, I'm having a hard time hearing how the effect is working in stereo. I was hoping for a harmonic stereo tremolo that would pan. Can the Flint do that?
Hello! The harmonic tremolo on Flint has no panning, if you wanted to check out the Mobius however, the VINTAGE TREM algorithm is capable of stereo panning. Hope this helps!
@@strymon does the trem side do analog through? Or is it just the reverbside? What’s the difference between Mobius and Flint? Does the three modes sound the same?
@Nicklas Hallberg Here are some FAQs that answer your first two questions. www.strymon.net/faq/does-flint-have-an-analog-dry-path/ www.strymon.net/faq/does-mobius-have-all-of-the-features-of-orbit-ola-lex-and-flint/ For your third question, no, the three tremolo and reverb choices are all unique and have different tonal characteristics. Our product page goes over the technical differences and provides examples. www.strymon.net/product/flint/ Hope this helps!
0:09 that trem and slide combo is a work of art.

I love your pedals, and I love your videos. No annoying autocelebrative intros, but straight to the point. Thank you for loving your job.
Thank you so much! :)
Outstanding - really high quality with both effects - Strymon is on the leading edge!!
Never thought I would want a Tremolo or a Reverb.... this is awesome! I'm going to be saving for one of these!
Why would you not want a reverb?
I can't see why Flint wouldn't work for you! The reverbs are spectacular and the tremolo is awesome too!
a wonderous device of audio beauty that excites and inspires!
We typically use a Roland EV-5 or a Mission SP-1.
I've got one of these. It excels at both reverb and tremolo...makes everything else seem cheap or vanilla. You don't see many used ones for sale because of this.
That harmonic trem always blows me away. Wish this thing had panning like your mobius does!
+the5chord Thanks for the feedback :)
Just frikkin beautiful.
Mesmerizing, haunting, and oh so wantable!
With an external Favorite switch, you can save a favorite preset. Thanks
What you play in the phasey setting between 1:09 and 1:30 is extremely cool!
check out the king krule song "dum surfer" if you like that progression
Hi, That is our buddy Dan Cohen.
Have it and LOVE it!!!!
Might be cause it is said flynt color the sound lots, i did the same he says bought the bluesky and have a jack rabbit trem that is transparent, but still have the question if was better to buy the flynt instead....
1:32 sold me mine. Strymon must stop making these amazing pedals or I fear I shall go broke adding each and every one.
Agreed, the last one was fantastic as well. I think the big sky can get these sounds too though.
+LoftOfTheUniverse The reverbs of the Flint are actually unique to that pedal as these algorithms are not found on any other pedal we offer. They can get a bit darker than any other reverb we offer as well.
+strymon I'm happy to hear that :)
Hey there, I saw your list of players... But, In particular who was doing the upbeat slide stuff!
goddammit! never wanted a trem before, but this harmonic one is killin' me! really lush...
AMAZING TONE
0:10 What genre would that be specifically, Delta Blues?
+Moses Abrego I'm not much of an expert on exactly what genre, but it does sound like some modern delta blues.
Thank you. You guys seriously have the most reliable support/social media responses. I own a few products and will definitely keep going back. Thanks again.
Thank you so much! Means a lot to us to hear that :)
I have a Strymon Iridium and love it. Do i NEED another Strymon reverb pedal? probably not. But i definitely WANT it!
Is there a way to make the LED blink in time to the rate of the tremolo?
The LEDs on the Flint do not have the ability to blink in time with the tremolo rate.
Is the Uptempo Slide sound possible on the Timeline?
+Joseph Badalamente Unfortunately, this example is only possible on the Flint or with separate tremolo and reverb effects. Since the TimeLine does not have a Tremolo that affects your dry signal or a reverb, it is not attainable with that pedal.
+strymon Yeah I kind of figured that but I just wanted to make sure. Thanks for the quick response!
when can we expect to own one of these??
ok that just inspired me to write... one day baby that pedal, an Egnater tweaker are going to be my goto gear.

I want a flint now!!! I love my bigsky;-)
But why no memories and presets?
How is panning handled on the flint? Just an automatic subtle pan?
Thanks for checking out the video! The Flint does not actually pan your signal, however, we do use psycho-acoustics to provide a stereo presence to the signal.
Anyone got a name for the first example played like the song name? It sounds familiar :s looking forward to purchasing this pedal as well :)

Me enamoré 😍
Maravilla! 🙌
How the hell do you play that intro??!!! Sounds so freaking cool
What expression pedal are you using?
excellent sounding pedal! How much does this thing cost?
What are you using on this recording? Are you going direct or a miced amp? .....what amp and mic etc etc? :)
Those chords and sound combinations at 1:35 turned me on. Damn....
DAMNIT STRYMON!!! why do you guys make such awesome pedals that suck my wallet dry.
Great demo! This is all from the Flint going into a preamp (no real amp)? Sounds amazing. What Damage Control preamp are you using?
Yes, we used two Damage Control Womanizers as tube preamps with cab simulation for direct recording.
Thanks!! :) :)

Something is panning if you listen to this in headphones. What is it that is creating that sound if the tremolo doesn’t pan?
it would be perfect if the strymon have had a double expression switch, one button for tap, and another for favourite.
Is it true bypass?
Yes, it comes set to True Bypass out of the box, but can also operate in analog buffered bypass with trails mode as well.
thank you for the reply, I bought the pedal yesterday and I'm super happy!
So happy to hear. If you post any videos, please share them with us :D

that is true
gets that early 60's Fender sound, like a brownface Bandmaster. lovely.
It is beautiful though
Flint costs $299.00 USD. :)
Why must your pedals be so expensive? I won't be able to afford this for many years
