You reviewed what was important for a consumer. And to top it off you compared the same, to the difference on each one. jonathan foster yes, but I have smaller hands, the s20+ is already a bit big for my hand but I’d make it work for the camera. Any bigger though and I definitely need two hands. I’m a mom, I don’t often have two hands free to use my phone. In an ideal world I’d have all the ultra bells and whistles in an s20, but that’s pretty hard to find these days.

Right? I have the S10 but cracked the screen and to fix it it cost 260$?!?! So I did some research and at the end came down to the s20+ which I love! Bought it on Amazon used nearly new for 280 two weeks ago with just one little tiny scratch that you can barely even see by the ear piece but since I have a case on you won't even notice but seriously these videos still help out the ones that are late in the game lol

Yeah I pre-order the S20+ 5g in Space gray. My city support 5g and I used the test phones inside the shop. S20+ is my personal fav. And to remember, i jump from s9+ to s20+. Stay loyal to the + 😉😘 Entertainment Features and a good display over all. The size, i dont care😂 but in my hand and as a guy who use the camera only sometimes s20+ it's enough vD. When u cant hold the phone before u buy, wait after official release :) 13.10 i think here are more guys who love s20+ more or know that's a good choice between this two. More comfortable to use like a phone, not a note haha :D
@@ati99pnk19 be careful of 5G. Independent studies have shown it can cause cancer in rats. If I were you I would turn off the 5G setting on your S20 as soon as you get your phone. Do your research first about 5G.

Then i combinate 120hz and 5g. The new display with better touch reactions, are one point who everybody forget to talk about it. I tried out the ultra, and then I got the s20+ since they had a promotion of getting a second free. The s20+ seems much more comfortable to use. Quite honesty, the camera/picture quality really doesn't show any difference, except when you zoom into full you can make out slightly more detail with slightly less of a blur (full zoom). Besides that the camera easily seems on our with the ultra. The best thing I like is the s20+ seems more comfortable, slimmer, and much lighter to hold. The ultra is super heavy and slightly more bulky. Also I think the battery life isn't that much improved on the ultra because with the larger size it used slightly more power. Anyways, the ultra is for those super tech and camera geeks who are EXTREMELY picky. The s20+ is almost exactly the same with a much more comfortable, lighter, thinner feel. Also.....the size difference is small, so getting the s20+ is comfortable, but still big enough to brag about and enjoy!

@Haishe but honestly I don't think it was worth the switch from my S10 plus. and I haven't done enough research on other brands to recommend one. I initially got the s20 ultra and then I downgraded two months later it's the only thing AT&t would let me do.
I 'm thinking of getting one of these and you gave a very detailed but understandable explanation. I'll probably get the S20+. It seems to tick all my boxes. Its a pity it doesn't have the camera specs from the Ultra but it can't be helped. Thanks again for a great video.
I got the S20 and it's a good phone, love the size & the non curved screen. But - I was a tad bit disappointed in the screen brightness being not very strong. Even when it's at max, the screen is a little cool-toned, even grey-ish (the white of the comment section for example isn't a glaring-white) sometimes I want my screen extremely bright in the morning, or when observing pics I took. My Samsung A5 2016 literally has a better white screen brightness. And so is the camera- photos are a bit cool toned. That shouldn't bother the average user, but personally I love warm toned pictures- it just looks more happy. Same with nature pictures - I want the greens to look rich and golden, but on this cam it looks a bit cold & wintery. I know I can edit the pic warmth in 2 seconds, but I don't wanna have to do that every time. Also the blacks look a bit grey-ish, and personally I prefer higher contrast (in selfies and nature). The dark shadows being a bit grey aren't a problem for most as the good sharpness compensates, and again- you can edit in more contrast. Again, these are the very minor things I don't like, I'm just nit-picking. Some people like the more cool toned look as it looks more fresh & futuristic. The cam quality is very good. The video too, but in the dark it doesn't perform the best, looks quite grainy & muddy (but then again, most ppl don't film videos in the dark). Sunsets look Amazing, it picks up the washes of colors in the sky, intensifies it and it looks stunning. Flowers look good too, but sometimes it oversaturates the colors to the point it scream in your face.

I found this video extremely helpful. I currently have a S7 and because tonight is the beginning of Amazon Prime Day, I thought that I would see if there were any kind of prime deals available. For Amazon Prime Members: S20 is $749.99; S20+ is $899.99 and S20 Ultra is $1049.99. I have a really hard time justifying spending almost a thousand dollars+ for a phone especially when my phone still works fine. I might hold off or I might just bite the bullet and get the S20. I don't know. But again, the video was the very best I saw. Thank you!!!

Got the s20 here in India and the phone just melts in the hand ,so easy to use, personally I don't feel much of a difference with Exynos 990 it doesn't heat up as much as hyped after the updates,only thing is after paying so much money 5g connectivity is locked here,although not available but still for little future proofing would have been nice,it has the same Exynos 5123 modem in it ,nice phone👍

After watching this video, i am now fully convinced that the S20 Plus is the phone to buy and not the S20 Ultra. S20 Plus seems like a more all round refined & practical phone than the S20 Ultra which seems like an overhyped beast. Saki, thanks your the most informative when it comes to Samsung phones. If I had to chose even though I'm plus fan I would chose the base model. Why? The size of course, the other two are just too big for my uses. I use the S10+, will I upgrade? I'm still on the fence. But all three appear to be super phones. Again, your the best? Always enjoy your reviews!
Forgot to mention not that its a huge deal but the color options are extremely limited on the S20 Ultra only black and Grey as the S20 has the cloud blue cloud white pink black and grey and the S20 plus has a Aura Blue and Aura Red and the BTS purple as well as all the S20 color options
I know this is a couple of years late, but I'm trying to compare the S20 to the new S23 Fe, and I would not hesitate for a second to go and buy another S20. Literally, the best phone that Samsung has ever made with the most amount of Ram, the best display, and the best performance. All because Samsung knew that they could. And then for some reason decided to back away and produce phones that don't even compare to the S20. To see another samsung with twelve gigabytes of base ram and another display that kicks 1080p out of the water would be amazing.
BTW I have to tell you, you are absolutely fantastic at these reviews. Such a great idea to explain all the same things first then all the differences. Fantastic idea as these thigns are essential to know. Also you covered everything , cameras, screen size etc. subbed!
P.S Although I do thuink you made a slght error @ 10:00, of course understandable, I think you meant if you get the S20 plus or the S20 ultra but you said S20 or S20 plus. At least I think that was a mistake?
Because Samsung is not able to cram all that technology into a small device. Very few people want t 6.9" phablet, but it's likely the smallest samsung could make it, to get the specs the Ultra has.
I'm so glad I've watched this! Initially I was going to order the S20+ but now i know its literally the same as the S20 just a bigger screen I'm now torn.
S20+ has depth camera, and a little bit better 5g, plus bigger battery. But if you care about having a smaller phone those things aren't that essential.

Great review and comparisons, one other fact is the 5G support is different for the 3 models. I went with the +5G because they had unlocked versions and more efficient bands, I'm hoping that T-Mobile supports in my area. Take care and keep the reviews coming.
I just switched from an iPhone XR to the S20 and I'm loving it. The only two things I don't like more have to do with the finger print scanner not working well with a screen protector, face id is also inconsistent, and the keyboard is better on iPhone. Other than that the customization, 120hz, fast charging, and display are fantastic on the s20... I have no regrets at this point.
I'm gonna go ahead and grab that Ultra! Too much of a beast to leave it alone. Once they calibrate the camera with a few more updates, it's gonna be game changing! Mark my word! It's new tech so it's gonna take some time to get right. Ultra here I go!

I pre-ordered the s20 plus. My reason for not getting the ultra was that I was never gonna use the zoom feature in it. I wanted a big screen so I got that from s20 plus and also it's alot more comfortable to hold, weighs less than the ultra and also does not have that huge bump like the ultra. I usually get the top of the line phone but this time I skipped the ultra because I think the money is worth on the s20 plus and I get a larger screen, comfortable handling and a sleek design and I save $200. Also s20 plus supports the 1mm wave too! What do you think of my decision to go with the plus rather than the ultra? Would love to hear your feedback.
By watching your video I could not think anything different than “why does other review and comparison videos are not this clear?”. I'm returning mine for the plus the hardware on the camera was Overkill and software can't fix the focus smearing and color fringing and narrow focus

I found this video extremely helpful. I currently have a S7 and because tonight is the beginning of Amazon Prime Day, I thought that I would see if there were any kind of prime deals available. For Amazon Prime Members: S20 is $749.99; S20+ is $899.99 and S20 Ultra is $1049.99. I have a really hard time justifying spending almost a thousand dollars+ for a phone especially when my phone still works fine. I might hold off or I might just bite the bullet and get the S20. I don't know. But again, the video was the very best I saw. Thank you!!!

Got the s20 here in India and the phone just melts in the hand ,so easy to use, personally I don't feel much of a difference with Exynos 990 it doesn't heat up as much as hyped after the updates,only thing is after paying so much money 5g connectivity is locked here,although not available but still for little future proofing would have been nice,it has the same Exynos 5123 modem in it ,nice phone👍

After watching this video, i am now fully convinced that the S20 Plus is the phone to buy and not the S20 Ultra. S20 Plus seems like a more all round refined & practical phone than the S20 Ultra which seems like an overhyped beast. I currenly have the Samsung S7 so now is the right time for me to upgrade to the S20 Plus. Thanks again for this amazing video. Keep up the good work.

My understanding was that they are not all the same regarding 5g. Isnt it true the "base" model doesnt support every single type of 5g
True. Smallest only supports sub 6ghz 5g. Other two support sub 6ghz and mmw 5g.

Saki, thanks your the most informative when it comes to Samsung phones. If I had to chose even though I'm plus fan I would chose the base model. Why? The size of course, the other two are just too big for my uses. I use the S10+, will I upgrade? I'm still on the fence. But all three appear to be super phones. Again, your the best? Always enjoy your reviews!

Wait for note 20.because price will be lesser,when 108 mp becomes 5 month old,5g technology will become cheap after 5 months.
Forgot to mention not that its a huge deal but the color options are extremely limited on the S20 Ultra only black and Grey as the S20 has the cloud blue cloud white pink black and grey and the S20 plus has a Aura Blue and Aura Red and the BTS purple as well as all the S20 color options

I know this is a couple of years late, but I'm trying to compare the S20 to the new S23 Fe, and I would not hesitate for a second to go and buy another S20. Literally, the best phone that Samsung has ever made with the most amount of Ram, the best display, and the best performance. All because Samsung knew that they could. And then for some reason decided to back away and produce phones that don't even compare to the S20. To see another samsung with twelve gigabytes of base ram and another display that kicks 1080p out of the water would be amazing.

BTW I have to tell you, you are absolutely fantastic at these reviews. Such a great idea to explain all the same things first then all the differences. Fantastic idea as these thigns are essential to know. Also you covered everything , cameras, screen size etc. subbed!

Why does the smaller version doesn't have top configuration?? As I want best of best but not biggest screen....
Because Samsung is not able to cram all that technology into a small device. Very few people want t 6.9" phablet, but it's likely the smallest samsung could make it, to get the specs the Ultra has.

I'm so glad I've watched this! Initially I was going to order the S20+ but now i know its literally the same as the S20 just a bigger screen I'm now torn.
We're in the same boat atm, but I'm tilted towards the Plus coz of the bigger battery as well (I have the 9 Plus atm)
S20+ has depth camera, and a little bit better 5g, plus bigger battery. But if you care about having a smaller phone those things aren't that essential.

Great review and comparisons, one other fact is the 5G support is different for the 3 models. I went with the +5G because they had unlocked versions and more efficient bands, I'm hoping that T-Mobile supports in my area. Take care and keep the reviews coming.

I just switched from an iPhone XR to the S20 and I'm loving it. The only two things I don't like more have to do with the finger print scanner not working well with a screen protector, face id is also inconsistent, and the keyboard is better on iPhone. Other than that the customization, 120hz, fast charging, and display are fantastic on the s20... I have no regrets at this point.
Finally someone’s mentioned the keyboard… that and some other features are the decisive reasons I’ll be going back to Samsung from the iPhone….👍🏻

First time to watch a sakitech review and I think that this one is one of the most helpful, clear and useful reviews I have seen! The S20 has 8GB ram, the Plus and Ultra have 12GB. This guy states they all have 12GB which is not true 🙄

I pre-ordered the s20 plus. My reason for not getting the ultra was that I was never gonna use the zoom feature in it. I wanted a big screen so I got that from s20 plus and also it's alot more comfortable to hold, weighs less than the ultra and also does not have that huge bump like the ultra. I usually get the top of the line phone but this time I skipped the ultra because I think the money is worth on the s20 plus and I get a larger screen, comfortable handling and a sleek design and I save $200. Also s20 plus supports the 1mm wave too!
What do you think of my decision to go with the plus rather than the ultra? Would love to hear your feedback.
