Anne-Marie Makes Pink Petals Soap - Hanger Swirl Techique | Bramble Berry

- This cold process soap features a vibrant hanger swirl design, and is topped with pink rose petals and Gold Bursting Beads. This is an advanced recipe and uses 8 different layers to create this intricate, mystical look.

It's scented with Pink Petals Fragrance Oil, an ethereal floral scent that is perfect for handmade soap, body butter, bath salts, and more. It's the perfect balance of peony, peach, orange, rose, iris, lily, amber, sandalwood, and musk.

To create this hanger swirl design, insert the Hanger Swirl Tool in the mold on the side closest to you. Push it to the bottom, move it about 1/6th of the way through the mold, and pull it back toward the top. Be sure not to break through the soap on top. Move the tool away from you again and push it back toward the bottom. Repeat that motion until you reach the other side of the mold - move the hanger tool away from you, pull it toward the top, move it over, and push it back toward the bottom. When you reach the other side of the mold, repeat this process going in the other direction, and pull the Hanger Swirl Tool out carefully.

5 lb. Wood Mold with Sliding Bottom
Silicone Liner for 5 lb. Wood Mold
Hanger Swirl Tool
2.8 oz. Avocado Butter (5%)
16.5 oz. Olive Oil (30%)
13.8 oz. Palm Oil (25%)
13.8 oz. Coconut Oil (25%)
8.3 oz. Sunflower Oil (15%)
7.7 oz. Sodium Hydroxide Lye
17.3 oz. Distilled Water
3.5 tsp. Sodium Lactate
4 oz. Pink Petals Fragrance Oil
Rose Pearl Mica
Titanium Dioxide
Electric Bubble Gum Colorant
Green Chrome Oxide Pigment
Pink Rose Petals
Gold Bursting Beads

Not being critical, but someone please explain to me eyeballing fragrance when the fragrance calculators tell you to measure down to the 100’ths of an ounce.
Janna Parks so for the amount of soap she is making she needs to use the full bottle of fragrance oil, she is eyeballing the bottle into quarters for each container but the total quantity into the whole batch is still the same. She isn’t dumping half the bottle into one container and dividing the remainder into three, she’s being roughly equal with it. Hope that helps a bit

@@felicityaeh Let's not be too harsh. I doubt she's trivialising the actual disorder intentionally, more that, like most people, hasn't yet been educated in the difference between OCD and OCPD. And from her comment, it sounds like she's mild OCPD. Like me. It's a common misconception, but so easy to gently correct and educate.
SAME. I'm a soaper and it's making me twitch a little. lol. I'm over here all "you need to completely scrape out the containers to get every drop out" ... But at least the soaper in me also is well aware that you have to toss each thing aside and wash after you're done and not during or the soap could set up before you're ready. As is, it was setting up fast in this one. Soap-On-A-Stick, no thank you. lol. That's even worse to try and clean up. >_
@@felicityaeh I can't help it if I'm a clean nerd. I just like to clean up as I go along. Taught my children the same, and yes I did have a sister that was OCD, people didn't understand what a sweet, kind and wonderful person she was they only thought she was strange.
Pickles0711 There's nothing wrong with being a clean nerd at all. My comment was simply saying have you been diagnosed with OCD/do you actually mean OCD or do you just mean you like things clean? The two are not the same at all. Also your sister can't "be" OCD, she might have OCD but language around serious mental illnesses is very important. OCD is so much more than liking things to be very clean xx

hello, i live in the tropics and coconut oil is always in a liquid state .. please advice me on how much i should use in cold process soap, since its more of a liquid oil than a solid oil on my side of the globe.
It depends on your soap recipe. You would need to use a soap calculator like on soapcalc.com to figure it out, or order a prepare mixture.
I live in Texas so my coconut oil is sometimes liquid as well depending on the season. You still weigh it to find the right measurement. I hope that helps.

How long does it take you guys to respond to emails or ship orders?
I ordered fragrance oils a week ago and they haven't even been shipped.
ItsQueen Babii I think shipping might be a problem given the fact that the pandemic is still going on.
The Brambleberry website say right at the top that shipping is taking longer. Usually when I order from them prior to Covid slow downs, it would take 7-14 business days depending on weekends and holidays in there. And we just had a holiday too. That's probably not helping. :)

The way you have grabbed soap off the knife after cutting it for years has always given me anxiety. I can just see someone cutting their thumbs every time you grab it and slide it off from the blades edge.
