Anne-Marie Makes Cranberry Cocktail Soap - Holiday Gala Collection | Bramble Berry

  • 🍷 Who doesn’t love a traditional green and red color palette for the holidays? This soap is scented with Cranberry Cocktail Fragrance Oil, which is a festive mix of orange, red wine, thyme, and vanilla. For a modern touch, it features a diagonal line design. Your friends and family will love getting this perfectly-balanced bar!
    It's an advanced recipe that requires a little extra prep. First, embeds are created in the Small 9 Ball Silicone Mold with LCP Clear Melt and Pour Soap Base and Merlot Sparkle Color Block. Once they're completely cool and hard, it's time to make the cold process base. To give yourself plenty of time, we recommend adding the fragrance right before you start pouring the soap.
    Half of the green soap is used to create the middle diagonal layer, while the other half is used to create the leaves on top. Don't worry about your piping skills - the leaves are easy to create using a standard piping bag. All you need to do is cut a small triangle into the tip of the bag and wait for the soap to become thick enough to hold its shape.

    Gosh, if this isn't just the prettiest soap! Thank you so much for the inspo! Also, "This is not quite as smooth as I want it to be" is the story of soap-makers' lives! I got a good chuckle out of that. 😆

    • @LadybugLaneSoaps
      @LadybugLaneSoaps 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Reducing the amount of liquid in your recipe helps and can eliminate glycerin rivers. I use a 1.50:1 water to lye ratio and I get no rivers.

    • @bramble-berry

      You could also use a silicone loaf mold for this design! You may just need to resize the recipe, since this is a fairly large batch of soap.

      Yes, and then use a little melted melt and pour soap as glue to attach them. (the cold process leaves need to be solid enough to to scoop up without bending)

    So...if you are really, really REALLY awful at freehand piping...(like I am). Can you use a regular cake decorating leaf tip in your piping bag with the soap? Or would that cause some sort of thermo-nuclear detonation, (that I don't know about because I'm not an experienced soap maker, AT ALL) that would not only destroy your soap but your house as well? Those tips make fabulous leaves if you're cake decorating.

    I'm very new to soap making. Some people provide recipes in their videos. I would follow it, but when it comes to adding EO I run into a problem. For some reason almost every EO seizes my butter. I add it after I mix lye into oils and reach emulsion. I try not to stir butter while i'm adding the EO, but in this case I have huge blobs in my butter. If I stir it, it would seize. I tried to order FR from you which wouldn't speed up the trace. Nevertheless I have tiny grains, so when I cut the soap I do not have a smooth cut. Please help!!!!!!!
