    what a lovely video of this persevered railway still going strong all in the video 40 years older like the bit at oakworth station where the railway children was filmed which i have watched many times and never get bored with it may this line continue in the years to come 👍

    It really nice to see kwvr back before I was born it not change that much part from a few buildings now have saddly gone

    I would question the date you have quoted, as I would say late 1983/early 1984 as there are a few suggestions that point to those dates. firstly, the DMU Buffet car is still in service but the Mk1 Buffet is in place at Oxenhope and secondly, a closer look at the arrival back into Keighley shows the former Midland Goods Shed in the middle of being demolished prior to the Goods Yard being cleared ready for the building of the Sainsburys supermarket which opened in 1984, and finally, that looks like me on the platform at Oakworth assisting one of our regular passengers off the train and I wasn't issued with my full uniform in 1981

    It's so weird to see an American built engine with Buffers. Same can be said about the USA Dock Tanks

      It was a hectic shoot on a day-return visit by train from Glasgow on an old cine camera, so was likely to have possible pacing issues when all four reels of 8mm film were later joined and viewed end-to-end, without edits, so I know what you mean. I'd considered possible edits before this upload but later decided all the footage shot that day looked useable enough to just present the entire film here in the same order it was shot.

      @@douglasthomson513 I don’t think it was anything to do with your filming or editing… the sound sounded okay which suggests the driver was ‘over enthusiastic’ with the regulator 🙂

      I volunteer on the line and visit regularly and I must agree, that was a very spirited run up the bank, they were really going for it! This is absolutely fantastic footage to see, there's so much detail in this video, and it's in really good quality compared to a lot of similar footage. It's fascinating being able to see all the similarities and differences to the scenery and the methods of operating that we have in place today!
