He had serious success but he has consistently been a detriment to his own teams and and is often quick to choose friends as parts of his organization rather than better suited individuals.

Montereal deserves another team rather that be a rebranded Expos or a new team all together they deserve to have baseball. I don’t know if it would be expansion or a team moving but it needs to happen.
@@BBUYTTVI remember as a kid I saw away game in Atlanta vs the Expos they were an exciting team led by Vlad Guerrero. He hit a massive home run off Tom Glavine that game.

The biggest issue is that the Marlins have had owners that, while rich, are not Steve Ross or Micky Arison rich. That means that, as in the case of Huizenga and Loria, they can flex and have a big payroll for one or two seasons but no more than that. If the Marlins ever got an owner like the Saudi Sovereign Fund that could find a high payroll, the team would be a consistent winner and attendance wouldn't be a problem. Every other South Florida professional team essentially sells out every home game but, unlike the Marlins, they're all consistent winners with stable and deep pocketed ownership.
