Respect for doing this! I did something similar back in December 2020; however, I failed in holding myself back after the launch of the Z fc, and that purchase dragged another, and another... Now, I'm even worse than I was before 2020. The fact is that all the cameras I have take great images and I don't need more than one of them if I am honest. However, I am a very moody person and depending on my mood I tend to take different bodies out to shoot with, so at least I use all of them, but I do have my preferences that I use much more than others. Stay focused, Cris, and share with us the art you'll create with your minimalist gear!
Same here, lol. But we need to forget about moods and get out there and photograph, even with our smartphones or point and shoots…speaking of…stay tunned😁. Thanks for sharing 👍
Great video , I considered that camera the x m1 . I have the Sony a7iv and the xe4 with 35 1.4 . I’m done gassing for now. I’ve owned pretty much the whole Fuji lineup and lenses , a couple z6’s, a couple r6’s . I’m low key eying the 28 just for the size .
I am in a similar position. My life has changed over the years and I kept collecting a few of my favorite cameras as soon as a real good deal showed up on my FB feed. However, Its time to dump a few things which are not being used. I might just keep that's worth keeping like X100, X100s, X100T, XE2, XE2s, Xpro1, X10, X30, X70 and sell XE3 and XT30.
Always good to see you Cris. I definitely understand selling gear that you're not using. I recently sold some Fuji lenses for the same reason, they were just on a shelf collecting dust, I did keep my two favorite zooms, the XF16-80 and the XF70-300 along with three small f/2 primes. BTW, my two film cameras and their respective lenses are not going anywhere, the Nikon FM-2 and the Olympus OM-1. Having said that, I'm not a professional by any stretch of the imagination, but you are, what did you keep for your professional work, like weddings, engagements, etc. Be well, stay safe and have a great weekend.
The workaround on the Z6ii to more quickly change the AF mode is to save your preferred AF modes to “U1”, “U2”, and “U3” on your mode dial. It does require that you use your left hand to make the switch, but for me it’s much faster and easier than hitting a Fn button then scrolling through the AF options. Nikon really needs to do a firmware update to allow the user to program a Fn button to switch to a preset AF mode.
I use some of my gear only very occasionally but could not see myself selling any of them at the moment. I still have every camera I have bought in my life from a VP Twin,, half-frame 127 film camera that I had when I was 11 years old in 1959. I now have 68 cameras. Most worth nothing monetarily but full of sentimental value. My more recent purchases also vary in value from my Nikon D90 and D7100 to my Fuji X-Pro2, X-T2, X-T3 and latest X-T4. I use the X-Pro2 and X-T4 the most but the others from time to time. Many of my film cameras have film in and get taken out now and again. These include a Box Brownie No2, Brownie 127, Yashica 124 TLR, Fujica 605ST, a couple of Canon and Yashica rangefinders, Nikon F801S SLR and so on. I admire your decision to reduce but for now I will remain a hoarder. LOL. Love all your videos Chris.
Wow. I need you around sir. I’d love to pick your brain about all those goodies. Thank you again and I am happy to hear about your collection. I do have my film cameras, well 5% of what I used to own but those are not going anywhere for now👍. Still in search for a good nikon Fm, a canon AE1 and a Olympus OM.😁

Good luck with mastering the gear you kept :)

Knowledge is always a better investment. I’ll make a video at some point if i see interest in what I have left/add in the next months. Thank you sir👍
@@CrisConstantin I wish you the best Cris, you definitely don't sound very happy.
I am fine my friend, thanks for support🤗

Yeah it got me a bit frustrated. Their new line of cameras will definitely come with better ergos if they learn from their failures/user opinions 👍

@@CrisConstantin I have an Olympus OM-1 in my collection. With motor drive and a few lenses.
I am looking for one in good condition myself. I love their glass and om-1 is sexy😉👍
