I am not so sure that this is good news for us. It seems a rather defensive action to get some cashflow. The new CEO does not say that much about fujifilm imaging in his new strategy. How to keep up with sony and canon investments
Yeah, it might be anything. I am always trying to think positively and put things in perspective. I just hope their new strategy will be able to compete, because hybrid shooting is spreading fast and having reliable AF as well as high performance video features is a must for almost every camera release these days (see Olympus OM1..). So, we should wait and see. 👍
I am a fan of Viltrox myself. I have 4-5 of their af lenses. They are great for the money but the CA / fringing is out of control on some. But to say “No need for Sigma” is a bit harsh. I always want competition. That’s how the gems are born😁👍
They should bring their constant 1.8 zoom lenses. They do not have competition for that.
Glad to hear this! I love my sigma trio for my sony apsc. cant wait for the fuji mount.

@@CrisConstantin Olympus sold their imaging division and the new owner at least seems to invest! Hoera!
@@ToondeSmit exactly, that’s what I said. Even in that situation they come up with beast of MFT. Hopefully Fujifilm learns something from that…
I use a complete set of Viltrox Autofocus lenses for my X-H1 , and all are great !
So no need for Sigma ...
