    Paver sand is slightly different than play sand and can contain fine silica dust that can be harmful to inhale. Also organic "top soil" is the stuff you want to look for at the store. It doesn't contain any fertilizers.

    You probably don't remember me but I bought 3 ball pythons from you a normal a pastel and a pastave about 4 years ago I just wanted to thank you they truly have saved me the female pastel was given to my daughter who has sence moved away but my males the normal I named Zeus he is absolutely amazing I made a mistake a few months back feeding him stuck my hand in his Cage with his rat kind didn't bit me he stop mid amazingly he was the one I thought would bite me because he always seemed to be like food hungry matter how much we fed him he was always hand feed mode but that day changed my friendship and attachment to him amd then i have the pastave omg lors how to explain him he has always been so sweet and loving he is my best friend yeah i know it sounds weird. It sadly I connect more to animals then people but I guess I am writing you because well you saved me again I know weird the thing is I suffer from a few mental health issues and no matter what the doctors gave me It never helped but when I started watching you and a few other reptile keepers are breeders not sure what you want to be called it gave me a new outlook on life I was always interested in reptiles snakes manly but I had a deep fear of them you no biting me but still thought they were and are the most beautiful and amazing animals that I imagined and when i started looking in to finally getting one after a little over a year of of investigating and obviously research I chose to buy my first from you and they my baby boys are still my world after 4 years anyway they are doing amazing and I thank you so much for them I just wanted to let you know that you are so amazing and important to a lot of people like me at some point I want to add to my babies but someday i hope to meet you amd some others who encouraged and gave me the knowledge to care for these amazing reptiles Thank you so much

      @@DarkScienceReptilesllc I may get a uro. Do I HAVE to have both a heat emitter bulb and a basking bulb?

    My enclosure i used clay to stick together rocks and boulders and sand and gravel for substrate no woods , your set up seems more for tropical

    Am I mistaken or is paver sand supposed to be bad as well as miracle grow as it has fertilizer? Did he suffer from this or was it ok?

    I have the same basking bulb, but 100 watts at pretty much the same distance. And I can only get it to 109F

    You can’t put live plants in there because you would have to water them and the humidity would kill the Uro.

      You can do air plants apparently

    • @ardochane21204
      @ardochane21204 ปีที่แล้ว

      There are desert/arid plants that can be placed, either wicking minute amounts of moisture from the environment or that can handle a spot water dropping to it's local place with even a dropper without significantly shifting the uros humidity

    • @rylandfrederick431
      @rylandfrederick431 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It won't kill the uro, they are hardy animals, it depends on the plants though, desert plants should do fine because they need very little water anyways so a monthly water cycle should keep the humidity relatively low and still be able to keep plants. But in general yes don't use plants that needs water weekly because the overall amount of water will just be sucked into the air and could be bad for a uro since they are so adapted to desert environments

    bio-active-enclosure means enclosure that is biologically active.
    in example an enclosure with plants is biologically active.
    this is not bio-active-enclosure.

      A clean up crew is what makes it bio active as well. The animal poops the clean up brew eats it. That is a biological process

    If you look at the environment that they come from you don't hardly see any dirt at all. Just rocks, gravel, and a little sand. Nothing they can dig down deep in. Hard ground and rock crevices. Really bare and simple.

  • @apetloverslife5799
    @apetloverslife5799 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I think I would do tile and the a section of seeds for digging. And no worries of impaction as you probley know they can eat seeds 🙂

    • @Rockdog333
      @Rockdog333 ปีที่แล้ว

      Seeds don't cause impaction, poor husbandry does.
