    Great video! My 34 y/o ole lady use to eat plenty of insects as a juvenile but be sure to gut load those. And yeah, she hates the powder lol. I sprinkle some of the dandelions flowers and she can care less. Subbed👍🏽!

      Thank you! Yeah man it must be a plant where there from that’s poison or something cause even my captive bred ones already see powder on the greens and are like na lol

    Great feeding guide. Dandelion greens are definitely a must have favorite staple green for uros and it's frustrating we can't seem to get them I've heard in the UK it's easier but I just sourced them from wild grown areas that aren't sprayed and fed to my bearded dragon and uro. They keep well in the fridge for a couple weeks and I just get a bunch wash and dry well. I've never tried freezing them but I bet that could work as well.

      Thank you! I know right I also do that but since dandelions are seasonal my uros only get wild dandelions outside during spring

    Just wondering again sorry to bother, but my bearded dragon doesn’t hide when he sleeps he just chills out and sleeps on the open is this normal?

    • @ChiefSweetsUniverse

      Yes very normal no worries. In the wild they will sleep on tree branches too. It’s due to snakes on the ground that will eat them.

    I just got myself a little guy, and over the last week, we've tried everything but cant get them to eat. Romaine, lentils, weve even tried force feeding with a dental syringe but their mouth is so small we dont want to hurt them and dont try too hard.

    • @ChiefSweetsUniverse

      Sometimes they are often very dehydrated because most places lack improper care or are wildcaught and just got in so they are even more dehydrated and doing bad. I would suggest try the dental syringe with water and drip it around his nose or in front of them make a puddle almost. Hydration is key then once hydrated up they should get hunger back

    Any suggestions on how to help a possibly paralysed uro eat more easily? One of my guys recently ended up with mobility issues, and he has a frustrating tendency to ignore his greens and squash for the half teaspoon of dried millet and sprouted lentils offered twice a week as a food topper. Both my guys tend to enjoy flowers, timothy hay, been pollen, and chopped cactus as appetite stimulants, but the mobility-challenged one is now less confident about eating from his food bowl and given how messy uros can be when eating, I'd rather not have there be a risk of him eating the substrate if he flings his salad around.

    • @ChiefSweetsUniverse

      Ahh gotcha have you tried hand feeding? Like maybe a leaf from your hand

    • @thejasminedragonmerchant6843

      @@ChiefSweetsUniverseI have! He's shy about it but he'll eat (slowly) from my hand. I've resorted to doing so to help monitor his food intake, it's just kind of unfortunate to see since he's trying really hard but his legs just aren't cooperating to let him approach food easily otherwise except for when I put food onto a big tile on the enclosure floor for him to eat (he can drag himself around but the substrate is crushed gravel, dirt, and fine sand, so I'm trying to limit his potential for scraping his underside if I can help it).

    for the greens, i usually get them out of my fridge and spray with water. Do you do that as well? recently seeing my Uromastyx having running stool, not sure if that could contribute to the cause....

    • @ChiefSweetsUniverse

      Yes I do spray it with water as well darn forgot to mention that. I don’t do it all the time but it will definitely cause huge excess water in his stool lol

      I have a method I talk about in my uromastyx care guide. But I make sure the air temps are around 85f throughout the entire cage. I have the basking spot at 125f however they are usually extremely dehydrated so I will force small amounts of water in there mouth with some critical care herbivore. I’ll make a whole video about it.

    Mine eats the substrate, can’t have small rocks around her. %100 wouldn’t survive on it own

    • @ChiefSweetsUniverse

      If he’s eating the substrate I would recommend checking uvb and upping vitamin and calcium supplements. They only do that when they are super deficient in vitamins or calcium

    • @VicesAngel

      @@ChiefSweetsUniverse Thank you, I'll definitely consider vitamins and calcium supplement in her meals from now on and see if she still eats the rocks

    Good morning,
    My uro refuses to eat anything that is green. He only wants to eat seeds, dandelions and sprouted lentils. I'm afraid he'll become dehydrated with that.
    How can I get him to eat green foods that will give him the water he needs?

    • @ChiefSweetsUniverse

      You could offer him water and drop some water around him see if he’s interested. Romaine is the best cause they usually do love romaine and it’s like 90% water. Mealworms are pretty moist as well as a last alternative

    • @corinnebou1934

      Thank you very much for your advice. He never wanted romaine salad but I put out a bowl of water and he drank for a little while.
      In your opinion should I leave the bowl of water all the time without risking an infection or something else?

    I tried feeding my uro super worms. He seemed a little interested but he just licked it with his tongue. I put them in his feeding bowl with mixed greens and lentils. He loves the lentils/greens more than anything. Any tips on trying to get him to eat any insects to put on a little size?

    • @ChiefSweetsUniverse

      If he’s not interested that’s perfectly fine! Continue with the mixed greens

    • @ChiefSweetsUniverse
