    Thank you Paul for another superb video :) I did find it a little bit too fast (can't hurry a good painting) so I went and slowed it down to 0.75 speed in settings and I could at least see in more detail what you were doing :) Lovely subject and one I will have a go at as mum in law loves tigers so will be nice to give as a gift when done. Thanks again .. oh my love is dragonflies so if that is something you may be able to do in future would be great. Looking forward to your next video x

      Glad it was helpful Sharon. I am planning on painting a dragonfly at some point as the full step-by-step tutorial, which as you know is what I did with this tiger originally. It's quite interesting to speed up the full 4 hour video into just a few minutes. I know you don't get the colours and full information (obviously all in the full video), but it does give you the idea on how I put this painting together.
      Thank you so much for you very kind comment, Paul 🎨

      Thank you Van, I do have this as a full length lesson for my members on my website. devonartist.co.uk/memberships/#Tutorials
      I do understand what you say though, even a clip would be fine not speeded up. Paul 🎨

    If you haven’t already, I’d like you to speed paint a hummingbird. Your paintings are beautiful! What do you use to paint the white highlights?

    • @TheDevonArtist
      @TheDevonArtist  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you Dawn, you never know they may be a speed painting of a Hummingbird come along at some point. The white I use is one by SAA so www.saa.co.uk and this is an opaque white.
      Hope this helps, Paul 😊

    I'm curious what colors for fur used. I'm guessing raw sienna, burnt sieñna, burnt umber. Close? I want to use transparent orange on my tiger painting. Thanks for sharing I love your work.

      Spot on with the colours! Yes, these are bright colours to use for the fur, but as you can see near the end I tone them down a little. Transparent orange will be fine with a touch or burnt sienna and burnt umber added to the mix in places. Thank you, Paul 🎨

    Sorry sir, but how long does it take this painting? Thanks sir.

    • @TheDevonArtist
      @TheDevonArtist  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Depends really on your ability level. An intermediate artist should be able to paint this within a full day, depending on of course how long your painting day is of course. For me, I would guess approx. 7 -10 hours. Paul :-)
