I’m Puerto Rican and grew up in the projects on the Lower East Side of Manhattan but I loved watching Hee Haw on Saturday nights after dinner as a kid with my parents. It always made me laugh and my dad loved Country Music.
Hee Haw was the reason my wife and I spent part of our honeymoon in Nashville. The Opryland Hotel was so beautiful with its botanical garden-like interior.
Good tune! "Mtn Dew" was created in 1940 just Fyi. So yes people were enjoying Mountain Dew as far back as the 1940's. 🙂 Of course Moon Shine is another type of Mtn. Dew as well. 😉
One of the greatest shows to ever be on TV! That was the every Saturday tradition to watch! Some great memories! Thanks for the post!
Family time TV. The 60's and 70's TV was wonderful. Family singalongs and happiness.
Hee Haw was required viewing every Saturday night from when I was just a few months old. Loved that show.

Country folk and Mountain Dew go back longer than many realize.
All the way back to their ancestors in Scotland and Ireland.

Hey Gran pa what's for supper
😊 that still is probably real. Hiding it in plain sight as a stage prop. Genius!
I saw him sing this on the stage of the grand ole opry back in 1993. Good memories!
Can't help but smile and tap your foot when watching this!!!🥰🎶
The best dew around! Are we clear!
Good old days 🇺🇸✌🏻
As a child I use to go next door to my grandparents house to watch Hee Haw in color ♥️

This just makes me wanna pickup a banjo and learn how to play.

Grandpa took my innocence back in 1953. I still have mustache burns on my thighs!

Not sure how this makes me feel. As a kid, Grandpa Jones seemed ancient. He actually seems much younger than I remember. That must mean...... dangit.
