No wonder why Malaysia having food security issue right now. Hiring leaders like this back in 2018 in the cabinet who are extremely obsessed with tech and industrial r&d not in agriculture. We have seen Iban student with 10A, yet can't enter university in Malaysia of her choice.
Needless to say TOP students from UEC are offer FULL scholarship and job guarantee by many foreign countries base on their trial exam result.
Meaning, before STPM official result are publish, many of these TOP students had been long gone and studying oversea.
And BN/MCA had done NOTHING for the UEC.
I'm a clinical application manager for an european company, overseeing asia pacific region market based in malaysia. And i'm an Iban from sarawak. It's all about hard work, confidence, willing to learn only other ppl can hire you. if you have lazy attitude, nobody will hire you. orang putih company trusted me to take care their asia pacific market because i'm talented, not because my skin colour. until today, the civil service (both SPA and sarawak state civil service) NEVER called me for an interview. Not even an invitation for SPA test. But orang putih companies did. Not to mention, prior to this, i attended 10 interview from FOREIGN companies, from singapore to hongkong to australia to sweden and ended up with a german company. I rejected all offers because believe the germany's working system and their expertise to help me improve myself. I can shared my vast experiences how to score a foreign company's interview. It was really tiring and mind-boggling, tell you.

There is one big problem in Malaysia involving mind set towards technology.. As researcher/ scientist develop/ upgrade certain technology, when it came to end user, end user refused to pay the price as it is. Consumer always wants at bargain price causing slow market penetration or lower return of investment. At the end, researcher was put in a situation to sell their copyright to third party that may outsource it to outsiders. Its process leads Malaysia become consumer country rather than invention nation.
My suggestion : please allow more spin off company subsidies by government that bring technology into market. Provide sufficient follow-up grants that ties with local manufacturing company under observation of related ministry to upgrade manufacturing process allow room for mass production that will end up as lower production cost.
