Do NOT feel sorry for her! The woman went home, got into her bathrobe, crawled into the bathroom, and has been living rent free in Julie's mirror ever since.

@@Verifraudreports I had a much different crowd. My experience is only in upscale bars/restaurants, where the general demographic started around 28ish, or so. At my rail, it was usually the younger ones that got like the character in Julie's sketch. Although, there were the occasional 40-50 year olds that came in during their mid-life crisis. They fit this video to a T, including trying to hit on me while being a decade or more younger than them. One of them even tried to block me from serving a table I had on the main floor until I gave her a hug. WEIRD!

I thought I wouldn't be approached anymore after I got married but to my surprise, there are still ppl interested. So don't worry too much. Should your relationship ever end later in life, there will still be interesting people to meet, and your relationship and conversations will be all the more deeper as a result of your experience.

But even boomers were the 'spoiled and out of control' youths in the 60s and 70s and a lot of people being labled as 'stuffy old boomers' are actually members of the once very counter-cultural GenX.

I went through this same thing a couple years ago, so I may be able to give a bit of insight here. The problem often isn’t that this character has bad/unsupportive friends or no life outside of their relationship. The problem is, once people get to a certain age, the majority of their friends will have full extremely busy lives if their own (most likely married with children). Surely their spouse doesn’t want them out sever nights a week bar hopping trying to help their friend get laid like they’re back college again. And the newly single person doesn’t often want their happily coupled friends around them all the time reminding them of what they have lost. That was my experience at least.

Seen this first hand when I was doing bartending part time. Definitely accurate. Except for one thing. Usually there’s a lurker that swoops in on the good looking ones and takes advantage of their emotional state long before it gets to drunk karaoke 😬

Your acting is always amazing, but this sketch particularly enjoyably highlighted your ability to really communicate the environment and people *around* you, not just your own characters. This was crazy immersive. And just the right blend of funny and Real, as always. Thanks for making your awesome videos! 💚
