Jesse Neufeld that does explain my recent slump, but it's got plenty of stank on it since this video. Maybe I should was out the bad luck to build up new good luck
i play hockey over 40 year , i always throw my goalie gear in the washine machine np ,after in the dryer or outside , after for the leather i put a bit of Armor All , never have any issue always have nice looking gear always smell good
maybe a pressure washer on its low setting (if that exists) would blast all the surface dirt out without even having to soak and stomp. Just rent it from Menards if you don't already have one.
This video blows my mind. Pads and a trapper in a bathtub of water???!!!!?!!?!!? IT’s September 2023, has anyone tried this with Brian or CCM pads? I have white leg channels in my pads that look grey and dirty.
@@therealneoneddy Your pads are stuffed, so you may not see much a different as they sag over time anyway, but this will deteriorate any modern foam pad because you will never be able to dry out the core itself.
bigsteed007 haha, don’t judge until you clean your own, you might be surprised. I play indoors here in mn 2-3 times a week in the summer 3-4 in the winter . I store my gear in my office (work from home) . I air it out after every session. I also sweat like a beast.
I heard if u wash your cup it takes out the luck

"The wife's out of the house today..." Hahaha my first thought about doing this myself.
Does this not mess up all the foam inside and make it super week ?
Tyler Shouldice nope. Done it twice, it firm's right back up with a good drying
You should try turning on the tub jets when you are washing the pants, chesty and such.. Not sure about doing the leg pads though

have you tried a magic eraser for the leg pads and blocker
Maffu Taylor no i like my puck marks. Its street or ice cred. This is just to clean the funk out of the fabric
I just put mine in the washer and hung to dry did a good job
Lawrence Welsh did it work well? I'm planning to do the same to my eflex 2s
I’ve don’t that also works great. I also throw it I the pool some times
I know this is going to sound insane... but.... have you considered trying a pressure washer?
No I have not. I have considered recently using a carped shampooer with the wand attachment, so suck out the crud.

Should of done a before and after photo comparison at the end! otherwise great vid might try this after I feel my gear needs cleaning
Yeah I know... I kind of did one in the cover art.

Gotta do a dry wash, can’t be using too much water
Are you from mn?
Hannah Rodgers you betcha
The water would wreck all of the foams so much , no hate btw
Mike Hunt it's been almost 3 years since I first did this, they still work great. I've done it 3 times now.
It would wreck the foam I am a goalie and it would 🤔🤔🤔🤔
@@coltonkonrad8067 you being a pee wee goalie means you know more than this goalie?🤔🤔🤔
Try also magic eraser
I'm his son
Mc noob is hype
Don't add fabric softener
Lawrence Welsh why not?
Dawn will get that chit out
I know this video is super old, but to anyone watching this NEVER do this to your pads.
Everything else should be fine though.
Any reason why? I still do it about twice a year. Gets the stank out.

its not good for the equipment
Where are you playing? Where do you store your gear and do you go rolling in mud before your games?!! Lol
