Mount the machine to a piece of plywood with screws thru the feet, then use clamps to hold it to a work surface. I did this with my Sentro machines, makes a world of difference!
That sounds good. I have a more mobile system required due to limited space. And lots of machines. 😂 Once I ever get more space then I'll be able to do that!

My knitting machine is different from yours. I purchased from Michael’s. I have a row counter.
The Red Heart Yarn is not good for no knitting machine. It works well with Red Heart With Love.
Let’s be honest the Addi King size machine number count doesn’t keep rows count accurately.

Hi thanks for the comment. I did figure out a solution to get the caron 1lb to work on the machine but it's not easy. Oh sorry to hear your addi doesn't count well. Luckily I haven't had issues yet. 🤞
I bought this the other day with plans to de-stash a bit by making some beanies to donate. Red Heart supersaver did not work at all with the machine. I was able to get other types to work a little better. I found it worked the best with no tension. Once I was able to complete a tube for a beanie, I discovered it was too small. I can get the beanie on but it feels like my head is being compressed. I will be returning the machine and ordered a Sentro machine.
These knitting machines are a great way to quickly use up yarn and destash. I've slowly been making my way with my way to big of a stash. I found that this machine is really terrible with the worsted weight yarn. But, it works fine with any sport, baby or 3 weight yarn (unfortunately most my stash is worsted weight). The 48 pin sentro is best for tube beanies. Thanks for sharing your experience!
The instructions specifically say that worsted weight is too thick for this machine and will cause dropped stitches and potentially damage the machine

This has been sitting in a closet since I bought it on a whim 3 years ago.. was so frustrated because I couldn’t figure it out. I had no idea red heart yarn didn’t work and I was casting on wrong.
It's can be super frustrating using the machine with that yarn. I think if you tried 3 weight yarn like the red heart baby yarn you have better luck using it.

It has holes for mounting and I keep mine in place with doubles sided tape
That's 👍 great.. I have to constantly move mine around and need a smooth table but one of these days I'll fashion a clamp that works with it so I can remove it without permanent things on my table.
Yeah, one thing I noticed that it was a secure to the table. I wasn’t clamps to the table and it was gagging. The yard was making the machine gag.😊

I love my Addi. But Red Heart Super Saver will not work at all. Actually, most medium 4 weight won't. But Mandala or other 3 weight yarns do really well.
Yes I feel the same. Addi works best with a 3 weight yarn. I struggle with the red heart medium.

Yes I've done that and it actually is pretty good with it. But it still is frustrating not having a counter or a clamp/ suction cups to hold it down

This is a no go purchase for me 🤔 The Sentro 48pin is way less 💰 than this. Michael's has this on sale for a pinch under $90 at the time I made this entry & it's a Grade B+ Knitting machine the Jamit is a Class B-, I rate Michael's a C- or D- which is a soft "F"

Wow that is junk, stop using it and I hope you kept that receipt so you can take it back.
it's certainly not a machine I'd recommend to anyone if they are given a choice of others out there. The addi is my favorite.
