That was a very touching and inspirational video. That hit home for me my mother passed away 2 years ago last October. So that really hit home. That video you did for your mother was very well thought out. Your mother is a wonderful person who is raising a wonderful young man. My mother was a wonderful woman also. She was the reason for getting me involved in Judo/Karate at a very young age. She got me in and she did not let me quit. Now, I have a wonderful dojo that she help me build. a few years after the film clip was taken, but I really like this. The passion for Karate in two generations. Lovely to watch. You both must be very blessed. I have been practising Kyokushin Karate for 6 years now (am a green belt at 50 years of age). And I have a 4 year background in Thaiboxing. But I love watching Okinawa style karate, it has so much to offer, I pondering on doing it next to Kyokushin but that could lead to confusion. The way both of you perform your kata is absolutely inspiring. I love doing kata too. I wish both of you a lot of luck and Karate fun. And maybe I might visit this beautiful dojo.

Not a Karate nerd, have never even stepped in a Dojo in my 57 years so far. Frankly I feel like I missed out on something that would have truly resonated with me and my soul. It is heart warming to see the pride and dedication that your mom takes in learning and passing on the traditions of martial arts to others. Today is August 11 2022 and this is the first time I’ve seen your video. I’m older than your Mom and in my humble opinion there is no greater tribute than the one Jesse created. Mom’s passion and love for what she does is clearly not a job. “If you do what you love you will never work a day in your life.” Picnic BBQ fish and wine; doesn’t get much better than that. sorry I missed your birthday. I'm a 56 year old karate mom. I have been practicing martial arts for the last 15yrs. First with my children and now with my grand children in the same dojo! I've also in the last year started Muay Thai. I'm the oldest person in both my systems....and I totally love it!
